What I played lately was the Nioh beta demo. If you're a fan of Dark Souls, Yokai, Oni and Japanese mythology you should like this. Currently playing Bloodborne. I love this game. It's my first play through and have had some hang ups but I look forward completing this adventure.
Gears 4,... totally different from the Beta... I'm trying... some of the new weapons are cool, adjusting to game play though... doesn't have as much of a gears feel to me as 1-3 so far... maybe they need some tweaks... i say 1-3 because Judgement was just a disaster.
Overwatch event is pretty cool. So far I haven't been on a team that has finished the medium difficulty (probably cause I'm just not good at the game). So far I've only gotten the Sol76 event skin .
I've been playing a lot of Yars Revenge lately, mostly because I hooked it up to my stereo with these big old stacked speakers and the music kills in it, especially when you pass a level. It's super hard though.
So Call of Duty Infinite Warfare came out today did anyone pick it up? For me i have not played anything Call of Duty since Call Of Duty 3 which was mainly WW2 based. Never really got into the Modern Warfare series. But the idea of going into space i thought was pretty cool so i picked this one up. Not to mention im more a fan of campaign modes rather than multiplayer. But the Legacy collection comes with everything plus the Zombie modes which i don't care how cliche it is i love zombies and it comes with the entire Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Remaster which since i haven't played might be a good time to try it. And since the remaster probably cost an extra 20 separate i didn't mind buying the 2 in one game.
I'm just now wrapping up Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain. Great game all around. Only complaint off the top of my head is the lack of different locales. The entire game takes place in either Afganistan, Africa, or a giant confusing and poorly labeled oil platform in the middle of the ocean.
Ill take the Playstation 4 with a grain of salt until it can give me an extensive library that doesn't require buying every single game again and where i can play older disk on them. Or until they put out a system that gives substantial differences without the use of a 4k TV. Which none of these will probably ever happen with future iterations of the console. The push to get everyone to buy 4k TVs for the newer systems is a bit annoying to.
Honestly playing XB1 and PS4 games today on a 1080P TV it still looks amazing. At the rate graphics are improving in gameplay we'll have Hobbit-level gameplay with the PS4. Don't let the shit like the PS4.5 and XBOX 1.5 or whatever the shit it is called turn you off from current generation gaming.
Oh im not man its just annoying cause i only RECENTLY just last year converted over to 1080P TVs and now this 4K crap is trying to push hard on the market. Luckily i still kept one of my tube TVs for playing older systems on with Audio Video inputs that doesn't require rocket science to play on.
Really?! That is great news! Though I wish they did an Android release of Locoroco and patapon even more.
I feel the same, but with the Vita. Those games would be perfect for the handheld. Super disappointing it gets so little love, it's a fantastic machine! http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/12/03/parappa-patapon-locoroco-remasters-coming-to-ps4/
Let me proselytize since I was the same (hey, my DS and PSP still work!) but I'd like the Vita to survive. I got one while in Japan last summer and I lurve it. You don't even need to buy games for it if you're a PS+ member - I get along fine with the free games every month! And if you think "I have the same stuff on my phone", it's true for some games, but, for me at least, the analog sticks make all the difference in the world! The Netflix app, while not updated, still works fine. Buy one! Share the joy!
