Those Ultra patches are great. Do they have other kaiju you can put Ultraman up against, or is it just Baltan Seijin? The design seems to lend itself to being able to mix and match.

The only other variation I spotted was an Ultra Seven Vs. Eleking patch combo. BUT that series of patches does boast quite the line up of individual kaiju patches. Check em out! I absolutely love the art style of each character. They're too great.

I'm apparently a 10 year old in a 31 year old's body cause I love Spongebob gear >_> This has been a grail item for me since one of my previous trips to Tokyo, when I saw it in a store at Laforet. The price tag then/there was really high and I couldn't swing it, especially since it was the day before I left and I was spent out :| I tracked down a few pieces from that season/line over time - the big tote, hat, t-shirt, and the wallet, but since I love backpacks, this was the biggie. I was finally able to locate one last week and I am over the moon to finally have it :D

Those are pretty cool team-up patches @MisterYuck, though I would love them so much more if they hadn't gone the whole SD-design route. I mean, it is fine, and they still look great, I have to confess (in a related fashion) that I am just little disappointed that with the incredible abundance of random Ultraman-themed goodies you can find in Japan, they are 97% some form of cutified design. Which is great, they are targeted at kids after all (though, for a 50 year old show I do have to wonder sometimes about the audience*), _b u t _I would just like to see some stuff made with more shall we say 'other' takes on the characters, ya know, every once in a while. Doesn't mean I wouldn't still happily patch it up with these Ultras though.

    * these at least show some modern incarnations of the characters, which makes sense

I can totally see your point, @ultrakaiju and to add to that, There are actually more serious/badass style Ultra patches I spotted while hunting for those team-up ones...So they do exist! That reminds me I need to grab my Ultra dvd set from my folks' house. got it for $3 on Amazon. I need more Woo in my life.

Girlfriend's been on the Nerd/Horror Block subscription service and just got these in her monthly box. Amazing. Card's a little crushed but I'm ok with that.

Saw this calling to me today and thought it would be a really great way of distributing my keshi figures at future cons and shows. No regrets, honestly. Should be arriving within the next month. Heheeehehehehehehehehehehe

I'd love one of those for my house! Then I could keep buying the same toys over and over, and putting my daughter's special prizes in there for her. Are they crazy expensive?

NM... found a few on eBay. Not bad at all, pricewise!! I'm sure my wife will love it if I get one!

They were apparently around half the price 4-5 years ago when I'm supposing they first debuted on the market. I picked that specific model up for around $100 flat. Not bad, to me anyways considering the distribution potential I saw in them for local conventions and what not.

EDIT: also apparently this specific model works perfectly fine with standard arcade tokens or US 5 Cent coins.....or ya know, yen coins if you have any of those laying around!

That's what one of the Amazon reviews read. We'll have to find out once I get mine!

1/2 scale but big enough to fit a dozen or so capsules. So not terribly small. Portable.

Finally got off my lazy rump and had some business stickers made. Yuck stickers for everyone! Expect some ridiculously colorful and bright mailers when orders finally start rolling.

Ah, neat! I haven't been following Ashley wood and the gang for a while. By the way, the feet on all of those 3AxMarvel look so disproportionate. The only one I was bummed about missing was Spider-Man so far and they all look pretty decent.

    How is ultron?

I do not collect ThreeA but somehow had to get it because an Ashley Wood Ultron was just to good to pass.
The figure is quite impressive - nice details and a lot of movable parts - all those single pieces of armor are not fix so when you do poses it all falls into place naturally. The knee and elbow joints are hidden under a seamless rubber sleeve which is really nice, too.
Yeah, the duck feet are a little off, I agree.
Still - this is the only toy I ever bought for the sake of simply owning it - it does not fit in with the rest of my collection and won't be displayed.

I really liked the idea behind Spider-Man. Real nice change of concept that fits perfectly into what Wood's been doing lately.
