I'm on the fence. Not a big fan of Garudon but the addition of the mech head last year leads me to assume something similar in this Years bag. I've made a point to get a bag these last couple of years, other than the lucky bag its next to impossible to get any of the other releases. It's all one offs and custom paints. Being a small collector I can't drop multiple hundreds of dollars on one figure. And I know there are going to be people buying more than one bag.
I'm so happy that spoiler wasn't a real spoiler. I had to click and was so happy when it wasn't no nothin' about nuthin'.
Same boat here, can't afford the one-offs and I don't go to cons anyway... so Lucky Bags are definitely the way to go to get some good Gargamel goodies. I honestly love Garudan, but wasn't a huge fan of the one from last year's bag. Orange and green metallic isn't my sort of thing. The unpainted "Zodiac" color one from a few years back though... daaaamn.
Are these still releasing tomorrow ? Cause it's mighty quiet on the LB front. In fact , it's so quiet , I can hear Angel Abby opening their bags + checking the contents before putting them up for sale
^ I believe this is just the release for Japan. Retail stores in the US usually get them a few weeks later and have their own release time and date.
I pre-ordered mine from DDR Projects and got confirmation that the bags are being shipped in a few days. DDR Projects EVERYONE GET HYPED BECAUSE THEY'RE INBOOOUND
I couldn't resist trying to order from Japan. We'll see how that goes, but the opportunity to get one south of $200 is, er, enticing.
Hey guys! I'm new to this forum, I've been collecting designer vinyl for many years but I'm relatively new to sofubi... Any idea where I can get the gargamel bag from Japan? I'm in Australia so shipping would be cheaper... Plus under $200 or so is intriguing too!
So I've found a link from the gargamel webpage into the store and they have the bag for roughly $200 but when I click into it it mentions the page can't be found? Have they sold out there already?
Yes does anyone have more information on this!? I would so rather buy one for that price *EDIT* x2 lol I got an email from gargamel as I was writing my post, they said they did indeed sell out but we can still get them from the other retailers
SOLDOUT at Gargamel. I just got this email from them: "Hello J. Harmond Hughey, Thank you for your message. We regret to say that Lucky bags were all sold out. We are able to inform you, in case of, if customer cancelled their purchase. Following are our retailer in US. Super7 store : San Francisco,CA http://www.super7store.com/ Rotofugi : Chicago,IL http://www.rotofugi.com/home/ Toy Art Gallery : Hollywood,CA http://www.toyartgallery.com/ my plastic heart : New York,NY http://www.myplasticheart.com/ DDR projects : Long Beach,CA http://www.ddrprojects.com/ FOE Store & Gallery : Northampton,MA http://www.shopfoe.com/ If they have stocks, you can buy or purchase it. Please contact them directly. best regards, Naoya" It's all secondary retailers now. I hope each bag has a standard or unpainted Zag!
^ strange, my time calculations didn't have them going on sale until 11pm est. but i've flubbed release times in the past... :/
They haven't come up for sale in Japan yet, but the release is sold out to international orders. Gargamel, most likely saves the majority of their stock for domestic sales, since so many go out to international retailers. A very similar discussion took place last year.
I wouldn't be surprised if USA sales are limited to USA retailers, preventing online sales direct from Gargamel for USA residents?
Last year I was able to grab a bag directly from Gargamel by emailing a few days prior...no such luck this year They were a little more than half the U.S. retailers. I also grabbed one from angel abby last year and they were significantly cheaper but this year it looks like they decided to match the U.S. price gougers so I'm forgoing them to at least try to buy local. But yea, buying direct from Gargamel is amazing and shows how much stores can make off selling us these bags (and even add shipping on lol) But Gargamel may have upped their prices this year and rightfully so.
I think it's mainly cause i just sell to Skulls And Rainbones Society, with only leftovers going to regular online sales.
I remember this. Shameful. Maybe that is why gargamel is reducing their direct selling. Could be the right thing to do too, as over time more will go direct and skip the local retailers. This is a S7 site afterall and they have a business to run. I think there must be zags, just don't know if its going to be standard in each bag. Fun of LB
