Not quite, the glitter is sparsely mixed through clear vinyl so against harsh light/white you get that effect
Dennis did post some that were made before he added orange glitter/lame to them so I imagine that it is possible that some made it into the orders. That's what I love about these figures. Unless it's a blank.......and even then sometimes...they are all one offs. All different in some kinda way, that's somthing you rarely or even at all see in this hobby. I love checking out all the different versions of this years Halloween lotto. Probably my favorite release to date.
Thank you sumatra71 when you see it from far looks as if it was made of solid black and orange, but when you approach or see against the light you can see that most of the vinyl is transparent with a lot of black glitter. Again thank you very much to all for your comments, I have pictures from other angles where you will appreciate more. I'll try to upload later.
It's defiantly a variant. And one that was pulled first before the orange lame was added to the mix. Great pull!!
I knew i wasnt crazy! The orange glitter is gorgeous but i like the negative space of the clear im this version. Beautiful work as always Dennis
There are 3 variations that have appeared in the Halloween (does the clear part also contain solid black? I have referred to it as clear below but I do not have one in hand to be sure): 1. First Four Black Glitter only (This is the one pictured has solid orange vinyl and clear part has only black glitter) 2. Standard All Glitter (No solid orange and glitter inside the clear is a mixture of orange and black) 3. Standard Marble (Solid orange vinyl and clear with a mixture of orange and black glitter inside)
No ur not missing anything... But the ones with orange glitter/lame, that fills up the clear moreso the one above with only black lame has more "negative space" or clear parts than the ones with orange too.
Slightly incorrect. 2 outta the 3 versions are tri color marble: solid orange, solid black and clear with glitter (one with black, one with black and orange)
^^^ Melody, that kumon is absolutely gorgeous to look at. I really like how you were able to get the light to play off of the translucent lavender. Well I finally got my first ever Kumon on the first of December from my order WAY back in May 2015 lol. It wasn't Dennis fault nor mine considering my internet provider decided to randomly change my email and phone number on me. So all the info got lost on my paypal and such. Long story short Dennis kept my orders all of that time for me in hopes that i would be able to get ahold of him again and when i did all was good. Hes such an awesome man and i know hes super busy making toys and has a family to take care of so I didn't mind the wait really. Being a first time collector of his toys they are well worth it. His blanks are really cool to look at. I love the painted ones but these give me more appreciation to none painted toys in general.
Ugh, it's rare I actually let myself get genuinely bummed by missing a release, but I was clicking refresh for a the last 30min and still missed out, I swear I am not meant to ever get a GID Kumon, legit demoralizing. Still grats to all who scored!
Eeeesh, the toy gods are not on my side so far this year, glad it's early. I couldn't have been more on top of this one more than I was wow! Congrats to the 3 winners lol But seriously congrats to those who managed to snag one! What a beauty, especially the turquoise one!
He will be offering another shot at them to ppl so don't get to bummed out yet. I missed out to but thats how it goes sometimes.
