Our new character:Uchukyojin(宇宙巨人) First version: NYCC 2013 version: Medicom Toy exclusive version: How do you feel on it? We would like to hear you all comment.
Re: Utsukyojin(宇宙巨人) mmmm....I don't know what i think about ....first time ...wow!!! then mmmm I dont know....ambivalence
Re: Utsukyojin(宇宙巨人) I like the medicom colour scheme more than the dark ones because I can't see what's going on. It's a far removal from your first few toys which I liked more but that's only because monsters/aliens are not really my scene.
Re: Utsukyojin(宇宙巨人) Yeah the Medicom version is better in my opinion as well. I don't really like the pupil in the NYCC version.. Congrats on arranging a Medicom release! I like the wiggling toes as well!
Re: Utsukyojin(宇宙巨人) I dont see how this relates to this at all. Theres no similarity except that they both have long arms. The texture on this Utsukyojin toy is pretty great. I personally dont like the character but its well done for sure.
Re: Utsukyojin(宇宙巨人) I don't want to seem pedantic, but the right spell of the kanji you wrote is "Uchukyojin", not "Utsukyojin". Why using a Japanese name even if you don't know the right pronunciation?
Re: Utsukyojin(宇宙巨人) Should this really be in the Japan toy section ? Trying to look like a Japanese toy doesn't make it one. Sorry but the sculpt does not appeal to me at all. The Medicom paint version looks alright, but the others simply look horrible.
Re: Utsukyojin(宇宙巨人) My thoughts exactly. Not a fan of the head on this toy period, and the big cartoony eye makes things worse... The whole zombie alien thing seems rather uninspired. Not feelin' this one, sorry guys.
Re: Utsukyojin(宇宙巨人) saw these at nycc.. medicom version looks nice, sorta an undead sleestak? others look too busy with the paints, did Gensho do this sculpt?
Re: Utsukyojin(宇宙巨人) I think this something in between 'GeGeGe no Kitaro' and 'GUUMON's monsters' and may be with 'Max tOy's Alien Argus' ... and this sculpt is very cool congrat!
I was pretty meh about this guy, but picked up this blank marbled GID version just because it was really cheap, and actually really like the figure in hand. It's big, has lots of great gross details, and the arms and hands make it fun to play with. I think the heavy handed paint apps don't do it any favors.
I like him, been trying to track down the purple marbled version. There really should be a dedicated toy section for China/Hong Kong/Taiwan.
