I can't remember any specific toys that I can't stand, but I know of one artist... And I probably will get some crap for saying this because he's an old schooler, but...

I can't stand his work, even King Ken. It's those egg-shaped heads, those beady eyes, and complete lack of nose that just drives me up the wall. Mostly the eggheads.

Theres to many photos to post- but Im really starting to get fed up with this recent wave of resin "artists" on Instagram. Seriously, how many times can you recycle Skeletor's head?! Huge heads on tiny bodies, combining pieces that dont make any damn sense, imaginext bodies, ripping off great resin artists like Healeymade, crap full of bubbles, brittle garbage that breaks in half when it falls over once.... For every 10 resin dudes there is 1 good one! This needs to END NOW!

 

Right on the mark. A handful of the bootleggers do a great job casting, but even then I'm really sick of bootlegs.

 

I'm sick to death of Star Wars. I'm sorry, but it's been done so many times that I really don't think anything worthwhile can be added to the world of Star Wars bootlegs. Just... no.

Copycats have got to be getting tired by now, right? Maybe they'll move onto a unique creation sometime soon, right?

There are so many toys coming out that are derivative of other things.

Choose one or more of the following!

• Inspired by NNN (lumpy sculpt, elbow joints, proportions)
• Inspired by MVH (textures, horror/gruesome)
• Inspired by 2HB (two heads)

I'm not going to post any photos because I don't want to call anyone out like that, and we all know what I'm talking about anyway. To each their own but I am beyond tired of this trend. Can you really be proud of your work if you're so blatantly copying someone/something?

 

Than post it as "Fuggliest Sofubi Toys You Have Seen While Collecting."

 

Don't be a rude asshole, Brent was making a valid point. This thread was posted years before you even registered. Who are you to say what the thread should be titled? And actually, if you were to have taken some time to read the thread before posting Sonic plushies in it, you would have noticed that it veered off-topic some pages back, and everyone agreed that it should be kept strictly sofubi-related.

 

Not being rude as opposed to being straight to the point making it perfectly clear what the thread is about despite pictures of art toys being thrown around. Because just naming it "The Fugliest Toys You Have Ever Seen While Collecting" is a very broad term.

If you want to resort to name calling leave it in notes.

 

Those plushies are pure gold compared to a lot of recent shit.

Because your whining about really minor things and i have better things to do than to argue all day.

 

this board can be confusing for newer members because of threads about other styles of toys. but theyare usually confined to their own specific thread in the whatever forum. the thread will only call out what type of toys are being discussed if it's NOT for sofubi talk. I don't click on the "non vinyl American toys" thread cause I have no interest. I come to SB because I never have to wonder if theres gonna be pics of d unnys in a thread that doesn't have sofubi in the title.
