^^ man, i would of loved that as a kid Boot sale season seems to be picking up here in the UK. Here's my latest lovely crap . . . . . Bandai . . . possibly a Power Rangers enemy but i'm not sure. Bit of damage on his hat. Anyone know who he is? £1 Cute Bandai Bear . . . no idea if its a licensed character. I dont care, he's cute . . . thats enough for me. 20p Little purple warrior . . . no idea what toy-line this is. Similar in size to M.U.S.C.L.E. figures. 20p Rambo Troll 20p Hag. Looks like a Dargaud character to me . . . 10p Toad. McDonalds toy. 10p Another MIB Alien 10p (Burger King). Plastic Katana 50p Old and quite large plastic ducky . . . made by Lowplas in England. 6" high x 6" wide. 50p
Dang, you guys found some awesome stuff! I used to be really big on garage sales as a kid, my mom would drag me to them and I'd raid the toy sections for some cheap stuff. I think the best finds I ever made were a vintage Garfield candle from the 1970's and more ceramic statues of cats than anyone would ever need. Seeing all of your finds though really makes me want to start hitting up garage sales and flea markets again, though.
Those are really excellent finds as usual Joe. I can't believe your luck sometimes, I think I need to pay a visit to your area. The season hasn't really picked up here yet, but I am looking forward to it. It was a rainy one here today, so no luck really, but I did pick up this guy last Saturday. Suits me perfectly in fact, beer in hand, blue jeans and hat, cane - hahaha, couldn't get much better without having a vinyl toy in there somehow.
Shit! I used to have this but didnt remember it till now. Thanks for bringin back some good memories!
haha, luck and lots of traipsing around rummaging through other people's crap! Yeah, its Bandai and quite large. I always hope to see more from this line but i rarely do. Toys do seem to evoke memories much more than other objects, dont they . . .
Vintage Baby Boglin . . . . £1 at a boot-sale. It was completely caked in grime and fuzz. Cleaned-up very nice. Cool book, 75p. Started reading it straight-away . . . its great. Not so sure about this one but its got a nice cover by COOP, so what the hell . . . 75p.
I like to hunt for vintage Masters of the Universe stuff at flea markets. Went to one last weekend, and didn't turn up much, but this was a steal at $2: This mini-book came with the original He Man toy, and is just full of superb artwork. It even still has these attached inside too: Unfortunately the rebates expired in '82 lol!
And don't forget to use your Safety Scissors. ^^^^ Safety Scissors... Un-Safety Scissors from the Ottoman Empire...
I picked up this guy out of a free box at a yard sale. He had sure seen some harsh ring battles and was bearing some battle scars, but I gave him a gentle wash and he came out like new. He's been keeping me company ever since.
It was a hot day this Saturday . . . . apart from getting sunburn i got these at the local Boot-sale Blow-mold 'Transformer' 50p . . . . says 'Grand Fortune' 1993 on the back but i suspect this is a bootleg. I'm also assuming its a Decepticon. Does anyone recognise this character? Nice large & chunky Mario figure 1992. 50p. Kyle & Stan coin boxes 1997. £1 each.
Another round of sweet pick ups. I look forward to seeing this stuff. Never know what you guys will find.
... did well on Sat. * 3 x 80s LJN wrestlers * 1 x odd kewpie (stapled to wood base) * 1 x 1979 Funstuf Rage Cage Hulk (soft vinyl inflatable top, harder vinyl bottom) I am in LOVE with the Hulk. Such a damn great sculpt. And for those wondering, the complete Rage Cage (seem to be 2 different boxes, so maybe 2 different versions of the toy as well?): Spoiler
^^ Great stuff Art-Whore, Kuolio & Secret Space! I especially like the bootleg Batman This one was from the usual boot-sale . . . £1.
