The snake is really nice, my favourite of the bunch. I have always admired these, they're beautiful little figures, but haven't even attempted it due to their scarcity and the incredible demand (and thus cost). For a blank small toy it is just to much for me, but then I am a curmudgeon cheapskate . I am hoping for a wider release at some point, I'd just like to have one 'cause I like 'em, but not to devalue anyone putting in the effort to collect the entire first run. I definitely admire the dedication of those who have the set so far. I really like the idea of one release per year, as it spreads out the anticipation and allows you to collect them over time, but then that kinda just makes more sense to me to build on the real fans that aren't jumpin' on the wagon and have it easily available for each release, and the dedicated people will stick with it to get the set; after all we are talking years of dedication to it. This is especially true for a mini figure, low cost, high production [and no paint]. To each their own though, great collection dokuroking.
Which is funny because these figures are given out for free as gifts by Gargamel. (Not including the ones that made it into the LBs this year.)
Just to be clear, I wasn't knocking Gargamel at all. And I definitely love that these were gifts, so much more fun story to them. I meant aftermarket prices.
Yes, I've seen the prices climb quite high, but honestly I'll say it again there are truly a lot of really cool people on this board that truly want to help each other out!
I updated the pics on page 1 to include Year of the Horse. Another beautiful addition to the Zodiac collection.
i love the gargamel zodiac toys. the horse one is probably the only one i really want. hopefully i will be able to track one down
Wow, it's hard to believe we are already through 7 of the Chinese Zodiac animals. It would be incredible to see a set of all 12 some day.
The horse and the snake are my favorites. Thanks for starting this thread I had no idea how many were released.
