I concur with the suggestion for a Fink-styled roadster over just adding this to a Bootleg body, even if that means a longer wait for the additional production. That toy can stand on its own, and I get a very different feel from this. I think making it just another zombie style figure is taking away from its originality and style.
This is what I wish all the bootlegs came with. Kinda annoying displaying the extra head. I know... I know... that's what she said...
Not sure I would care for a Fink-styled roadster. Fink stuff sometimes seems like a "when out of ideas go to". I'm also thinking this sculpt might work better on something like a Cure Boogie than on the Bootleg. The amount of detail in both sculpts would complement each other rather than clash. I do like the design of the bootleg(particularly the torso) and I thought the Nagball worked so we'll see.
this head is going on 2 existing bodies (bootleg and salariman) and a third unique body later on. need to maximize its uses as it is not cheap to make. I do like the idea of a 'Rothed out tiger tank' toy, and have one in the works, but this head wont be on it as its from a different war. This guy is WW1 and will have a WW1 zombie body with period correct uniform and weapons, and I will probably make a British or American doughboy 'enemy' for him to battle along the same style. The Tiger Tank toy will have a little monstery driver, but he will be wearing a correct hat and uniform for the era. I fthat goes well, I will then make a 'rothed out' t-34 and a russian monster enemy piece. as I said, if you just want the head, it will be available as a stand alone, with and iron cross shaped display base, which we are making in house from high quality resin. I personally like the Mishka Bootleg body and am designing an entire series of new heads for it, all of which will also be stand alones with unique display bases. 2013-2014 will see them all released.
get out of here with your historically accurate toys that's all good news about your future plans! a salaryman with this head will certainly be an interesting take.
I would like to see it mounted on the body of cure boogieman figure. I wish to you a collaboration! salaryman sound good too but...do not waste this wonderful head ... one body approximately mishkaI would like to see it mounted on the body of cureboogieman. I wish to you a collaboration! do not waste this wonderful head ... with mishka approximately body! nice head!!
Just make a resin display stand in the shape of a tank or hot rod. To appease the masses until you can make a sofubi one.
Take the spike off the helmet and do it up as a foamy madball! Solid resin = best shift knob ever! I like the tank series idea, would be cool to see in a Marx Nutty Mad style.
I would threaten to name my next venture 'Kozik' but that seems slightly passive aggressive. It should go without saying that I am absolutely all-in...what a fantastic execution of an (obviously) fantastic idea. Add in a healthy helping of Luke and, well. Amazing.
Absolutely ! "Die Pickelhaube bleibt oben ! " - * barked in a stiff prussian dialect * Really like how detailed it is !
This is certainly a breath of fresh air from someone I didn't think much in regards to this type of attention to detail and ideas. I'm glad I am so surprise by it. Great illustration and beautifully executed. It's a great looking toy. I can't wait to see one in the flesh. Best of luck with the project, Frank.
BTW, yes - not sure about the scale but this this would look awesome on a boogie! Any chance this could sit on a BM? And if you could release this as an unpainted teal or flesh?
Sounds like this is gonna get pricey even before considering multi colorways... :/ But im excited! Hateball is a must have!
