The Green Slime from Siccaluna Kobou

Excited about this! A classic '60s Sci-Fci monster finally being brought to life! And it's standard size too.

If you have never seen The Green Slime I highly recommend it, produced by MGM and filmed at Toei studios so it has that great old kaiju movie style.

I have to second the recommendation on the movie. Totally trippy amalgam of classic American scifi and Japanese tokusatsu. I'm definitely looking forward to this toy, too!

 

I want like, 10 of them.

 

This figure is really blowing me away. I wish I could have watched as Siccaluna sculpted it.

 

He looks like pure fun.
The pose ability of those appendages scream, "Play with me!"

 

I saw this the other day, and although I like the accurate color, a painted glow or clear of this same sculpt would rock hard. Really hard.

 

Was sort of hoping for maybe M-1 to do a vintage stylized standard version.
But this will do!

 

Yeah movie was pretty trippy! That sculpt Is amazing I second a video for a sculpting video!

 

Rumour has it other colours will be done but all will reflect the how the guy appeared in movie and press photos.

Sounds like you're SOL for GID, Hawaii and random Joe Schmoe 'what I have in the airbrush at the time' variations . . . Vintage stylized sounds way more likely!

shit.... i was really hoping for some clear vinyl with transparent rainbow fades all over! or maybe some clear yellow vinyl with brown glitter swirled with pearl grey GID

 

Only if you scratch-build the outside of the space station for them all to get funky on!

but both the sculpt and painting, for me, are too realistic.

^^That's a fair statement. If you look at a lot of Siccaluna's offerings, they tend to be very sharp and true to the source material. Like, I have their Death Kappa, and if you watch the movie, it's shockingly dead on!

I don't mind the realistic sculpting as long as the paint is nice and the toy feels solid in my hands. Heh...I get that "action figure" feel (in a bad way--I actually like action figures in general!) from cheapie Bandai vinyl kaiju toys...but I never get that feel from Siccaluna toys.

 

if anyone scored and extra id be happy to give him a happy home. I missed this one and its too cool to pass up

it was offered through lulu a couple months ago as of right now i dont think so. Really regret not getting one when i had the chance

 

Shikaruna has a white unpainted version, not sure bout overseas sales though
