Christopher Nolan's goodbye letter to Batman. Some of it might be spoilery: http://www.iwatchstuff.com/2012/07/chri ... -lette.php
sad as hell, to know that there was an ounce of hope in stopping the attack!. but this damn notebook sat in the campus mailroom since July 12th! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/2 ... 02216.html
I found these to be some good reads: http://io9.com/5928913/five-spoiler+hea ... tag=batman http://www.vulture.com/2012/07/ask-a-do ... sound.html http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ ... s/?a=64342 Not saying I didn't like the movie, because I really, really did, but they make good points to reflect upon. Spoiler I was also surprisingly shocked at how well they did the first fight scene between bane and batman. How he broke Batman's back resonated hard with me since I am a huge fan of Knightfall.
I read the 5 reasons article on Kotaku yesterday, and I wished I hadn't. I kind of hate when I like a movie and then I read the reasons someone else didn't like it, because then I end up not being able to ignore the things they didn't like.
I'm the opposite. I LOVE reading different arguments. It doesn't take away from my initial opinion of the movie but starts an interesting discussion. If you liked the movie, you liked the movie. http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2012/07/re ... rises.html ^^^ That one, too!
See, that's the problem, for me that's not always black and white. For me it's one of those, "once you see it you can't unsee it" types of things. Like this:
I have no idea what that's from, but it really makes me miss playing that game... OH SHIT I JUST GOT IT.
I wil NEVER forgive your for this! I watched the Dark Knight the day before watching this and think the Dark Knight is wayyyy better. I don't know why, but I'm just not a big fan of Bane, and Talia didn't really show off any fighting skills if I remember correctly. Catwoman was ok, but the one scene where she's on the bat-pod just to press a button to blow the tunnel was kind of silly. Also, the fact that so many actors were from Inception and there were cameos from people in Prison Break/Dexter/etc. was also distracting me
Spoiler Cotillard's role was so minimized for playing such an amazing/influential comic book character. It just felt like he was trying to fit 10 tons of shit in a 5 ton bag. THAT being said, she was massively hot, naked by the fire. And her little speech at the end wasn't half bad. I don't think she's dead. Bane's death was a MASSIVE let down. Batman doesn't take down the guy who broke him? All ups and downs for me. I need to see it again...
