So, we love burgers. At least a once a week evening for us is something like this: 6:30pm leave work 6:31pm phone in order to killer burger, Portland's home of the peanut butter burger 6:45pm pick up killer burger and make tracks back to the homestead 6:48pm huff burger smells from the bag until arriving home 7:00pm tear open killer burger bag and box and devour. it. all. 7:02pm dust patty power collection 7:12pm play burgertime on NES and have a mini tournament with Brian and the cat, Burrito. you get the idea... so, we are making a burger-themed zine... BURGERMORPHIC! will feature burger monsters, burger people, etc. think Burgerdier General from Mattel's Food Fighters meets Patty Power for a house party with Mayor McCheese We will lovingly accept your submissions, art, etc. If you live in Portland we could meet at killer burger or another burger place to discuss this. This is beginning to sound obsessive and nerdy, but that's the way things are sometimes. And if you happen to have any burgermorphic items (transforming McDonald's premiums big mac, burgerdier general, a loose remco mayor mccheese, patty powers, etc) that you're thinking of parting with let me know too. We are assembling the collection now. Photos of these bugermorphs would be fitting submissions too. If there's a more appropriate place to ask for board participation please feel free to re-file. It's always burger time somewhere, Brian & Whitney
I love Burgers, and I'd be happy to contribute some stuff to this! I've been wanting to do a Burger Zine here in SD for sometime but just haven't found the time to do so.
it really is. seriously. the best video game. ever. difficult, addictive, perfect. what console do you play?
that's great! all contributions welcome, will be planning this weekend. what's your favorite burger in SD?
Killer Burger ROCKS! And their happy hour is ridic - $4.50 for a burger basket! Anyway - I'm going to be passing this info on to my wife - she's a huge burger fanatic. She has a small collection of burger things. We have a yearly burger party. And I'm fairly certain she'd love to be a contributer. Edit - And yes, BurgerTime is a great game! Second only to Q-Bert, IMO (and maybe Ms. Pac-Man). I've pumped so many quarters into that machine at Ground Kontrol. And then bought a multi-game disc just for BT for the Wii.
Let's see a photo of the burger things, we have an 80s burger shaped telephone around here somewhere...
Yeah, we've got a burger phone, burger radio, ceramic burger, burger coasters, burger lip-gloss (not flavored!) which can be seen in a guest blog post she did here: http://lollipops-and-roses.blogspot.com ... rande.html And probably some other stuff I'm not remembering.
When I was 8 or 9 I won a Burgertime handheld game. It was a big deal to me because I had never won anything before, and my parents wouldn't buy me a console. I played the shit out of that thing.
Lalo has a thread in the Bask section, about burgers http://skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=36729 I love Hodad's in SD!!
There are so many great burger places here, but my favorite burger in SD has to be from Miho... http://mihogastrotruck.com/ They usually have a different burger every month.
hmmm havent been to Killer Burger yet. Think I'll try and get over there next week! Peanut butter burger sounds nasty and delicious at the same time.
Steel has done some awesome "burger" paintings. Look him up. his Cheezy-E painting is classic!! Him and his friends did a mural in S.F. with a hot dog Godzilla and other burger head characters. Good stuff!
There's a really cool King Walder Burger head painting somewhere on the board. It was posted not to long ago.
Compliments section, I am sexual thread. There is also a crazy burger king resin toy in the resin section under " another motu knock off".
here are some awesome burger shoes. Colette/Vans http://www.nicekicks.com/2012/02/the-co ... ra-burger/
Saw that we had a new local Five Guys that was much closer to my home, ate there, and thought of this thread. I'm working on my contribution already!
