damn.... who is this dude and where is he moving to? Love to check out some of this goodness first hand.
Wow wow wow wow wow! ( ゚д゚) Oh this must be the same friend that you helped with selling some of his stuff previous to the move?
Yeah, that stuff was basically the tip of the iceberg...and yes, it was the same friend I was selling stuff for to help with the move. He's not the type to ever post this stuff himself, which seems common amongst the boardies that have the most enviable collections. I should also mention that NONE OF THIS STUFF IS FOR SALE...so don't bother asking me about it. He does have a bunch of stuff that he plans on selling eventually (maybe some rare boogies, a ton of rare Le Merde resins, loads of Secret Base) but most of it still needs to be sorted as it's all still at his place on the east coast, and you can imagine how much time is needed to organize yourself when you're moving across the country without a definite plan or even employment at your destination.
My guess is they were from a release via Garimpo some time ago. I believe there were something like 40 one offs released. I recall it being discussed in the Zollmen database thread. Could swore there pictures of all of them saved on a flickr account. Info from the Exohead blog: http://exohead.exblog.jp/14426425/
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ That gold-handed Takemi one-off... fffffffff... Can I get dibs for buying two of his toys?
That would be me. I don't have a pro flickr account so the set disappeared (one day I'll get it again). I tag EVERYTHING though, go to flickr type in: takemi, exohead in the search and they will all come up.
Am I the only one who is sad to see them still bagged? Far be it from me to tell others what to do with their toys but damn those have got to look better outside of the plastic. Maybe they were rebagged for the moving process. In any case obviously a dedicated collector with great taste. I shall continue my drooling now.
I don't know, I look at the bag and header as part of the overall experience. So when I see a collection of well painted toys with well designed headers I think it works. A nice collection of both works nicely
For me bags mute paint detail. Some bags are so thick they totally dull the colors. But different folks like different things. Cool stuff indeed!
That's what I said, that one is truly incredible. Love the way they include the posters ala Bemon HPs. There's also an Exohead HP Maza in there, but I didn't have the courage to take it out of the bag. Exo and Blobpus...the paint apps are always gorgeous. Here's a shot of some of the Yamomarks he hooked me up with. Been after these guys for ages (well, since they were released anyway) so I'm pretty psyched.
I totally agree, I have a Zollmen Maza that I kept in MIB for over a year, used to keep all toys MIB and then decided to free them when I realized that it's almost impossible to fully guage a colourway with the toy in bag.
