I hope this is the right place to post this. Usually my stuff goes to the resin section of the board. This is a characterI already made as a resin figure. However since he is quite popular I decided to make him in PVC too. Here is the first testshot of my upcoming U.R.I.-NAL 9000 PVC figure. The surface is still rough since it has not been polished yet. This figure will have articulation. That is sooooo cool. I never thought that even some limited posability would give a figure so much more personality. Hauke
So this is injection-molded like an action figure you'd buy at the store? That's awesome... I didn't know that kind of production was approachable for an independent guy. You must be stoked!
@onibaba5 and Waiting...: Thank you very much! @ Prometheum5: This is just a vinyl toy like lots of others too. It just has some round pegs as connectors for the limbs which gives it its ball joints. I wish I had the money for an action figure mold.
Wow! U.R.I.Nal man is so haute. Clean, funny, and makes a cool robot to boot. Love the soap dispenser. Need help IDing the attachments under the forearms?
Those are dryers for your hand after you washed them. I made a little animation that explains all the (fictional) functions of the robot:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OB7Jy1DdpQo
i'm getting a sense of some kind of fetish that probably doesn't yet exist. i don't know, all the posing, and the gaping stomach area..... with that said, it looks pretty damn good!
@nefasth: I like the name Pissonaut. There might be a whole new character in that name. LOL. You could also use him as a toilet seat in that position. Thanks!
Here are some pictures of the upcoming U.R.I.-NAL 9000 articulated PVC figures. The white version will be unlimited with an initial production run of 1000 units. All other colors are limited to 250 each.
Here is the box for the figure. I tried to make the box very open so that people can get a good view of the figure. I went with bright colors so that the box hopefully draws attention to it on the shelf. The actual paper of the box will be thinner then the one here from the factory mockup.
For those of you who got an iPhone there is now a free app available that features my U.R.I.-NAL 9000: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/crazy-bathroom-robot-catch/id452231276?ls=1&mt=8 - Hauke
