"Original Darth Vader costume" http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101027/ap_ ... arth_vader I bet it'll go for more than they expect.
^ With a price tag like that, you'd expect this to end up in a museum, not just a private collection... so much for the global recession!
Christie's said Wednesday that the costume is thought to have been made for "The Empire Strikes Back," the second film in George Lucas's sci-fi series, released in 1980. For that kind of money can you do better then "think" about which movie it might have appeared in?.....
+1 i was going to post the same thought when i saw this thread this morning. one would think they'd check on that fun little factoid! dumb asses. all they care about is clocking that 350k.
you guys can't pick apart a bad story written by some random intern at the AP and take it as gospel. put things in perspective. If it's at Christie's, I'm sure they have the provenance and history behind what they're selling
LOL, at first I thought this was for an original Halloween costume since it's only a few days away and thinking what kind of nutsack would shell out $350k for an original Halloween Vader costume. Egg on my face. LOL
