that shirt design brings a smile to my face as i start my day what a fun and lively drawing! even the atomized skeletons seem to be dancing and grinning. great stuff, mr. lamm!
Thanks guys! Its for the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. They wanted some generic kaiju Toho style monsters. I really have fun drawing this sort of stuff...
Thanks everyone for the kind words. Still 2 more bats to come. Right now they're staying as drawings, but debating taking them to a colored finish for a small(maybe 10) print run. That's all in theory since they are other artists characters.
What's it for, and when? we LOVE Alamo Drafthouse, and almost don't attend movies anywhere else. Mondo Tees also has a nice Alamo Drafthouse shirt (in store only, I think) featuring a GID Godzilla screen print, reading "BAD ASS CINEMA" of course
well...I'm not sure of the details. Supposed to be for a t-shirt is about all I know. I do know that the people I've been involved with are cool as hell. They also have some of the best artists in the world doing stuff for them, it was an honor and a surprise to be asked to contribute.
Another bat, this 1 was harder because Greasebat is usually seen in drawing form. I wanted to make it really different from Jeff's drawings so I pushed the shapes and style pretty far on this one.
Hey guys just finished these paintings up last night! "I Love Your Guts!" "Mmmm Brains!" "Hitching A Ride" "Widow Maker"
It's not really a traditional "monster" but I thought I'd share this guy. I figured it still might fit with the theme here, especially since the background collage was made with packing material from a Super7 shipment. This thread is really great! All of this awesome artwork has inspired me to start painting some crazy monsters to fight with my robots.
I suck at drawing. Everyone here draws great! Anyway's I'm taking Studio Art as an elective and this is what I drew. Any comments, critiques, and pointers are appreciated. Obviously it's still a WIP.
