Does anyone remember these? I found a stash at the local Church thrift store. Apparently they are sought after by people who remember them. picture of kite in package: http://www.flickr.com/photos/joost-ijmuiden/3747990607/ Picture of kite inflated, scroll down to 1967. http://www.firstkites.nl/patentedkites.html Someone let me know if they are valuable otherwise I could probably mail them out to any SB'r's who want them for cost of mailing. Here are the comments of people showing the love... http://www.inthe70s.com/toys/pufferkite0.shtml
I definitely want one!!!! I loved these as a kid! Someone at my Dad's work gave him a whole case. They also made a black one that came with stickers of eyes and things.
oh man,,i would love to take one off your hands... never heard of or seen this kind of kite before...although,,i don't know much about kite rarity or prices,,but i do go flying about twice a month (weather pending) it would be loved
yes please! I destroyed my kite over the Christmas holidays last year, definitely a worthy replacement
Alright I went back and bought the rest of the stash! Yes, they came with stickers for eyes and a mouth, but it looks like most of the stickers are missing from the packaging. Some of the rubber bands have turned into...dust. Some have their 'cards', and some are just the kite. Some have holes in the rubber.. this is cool because they gave you sticker's to patch em up. Send me your address's. I have a list of people here and thru PM so it will be first come first serve. No one has said "Dude these are worth a fortune!" so I will give em away.
I gave up a long time ago, I could never find one. We need to have a club and share our puffer kite adventures.
