Thanks Josh. I owe you one. Coming clean that you ended up with this and being open to sorting it out is extremely cool of you. This made my day as I was afraid this ended up being shipped to someone else and that I'd never see it again.
No problem man. Toy Karma might not be a myth. Only like a handful of folks still here I'd trust or want to fix this for but you're definitely one of them.
^not only toy karma, but karma in general. this is what brought me here in the first place, RFSO attitude!! glad this worked out for you guys.
The last 5 people that posted before me are all great guys. Toy karma definitely exists. Sometimes it's a I FART A LOT though.
How ironic that two now strangely eerie intersecting complaint threads (Celga and this one) started by me end it happy results for everyone.... bizarre. Is this the Marine Kong?:
No Shit, RFSO has not been forgotten. I have been trying to spread the love more recently too, its great to help and better than the toys when it works out.
I can't believe I passed on that Kong at WF! Maxaltoman was like, "You don't want to get a Marine Kong!?!"
Fairly certain that's the Kong although it looks a bit darker in person, its really incredible. Minis are the same.
Here's mine which I think is from the earlier release. There is a Transglobal stamp on it. I was assuming there wasn't one. My guess is all will have this stamp. Which means the licensing issue is still not resolve? I remember Joe mentioning there's no change in that issue.
I really hope SK honors thier business arrangements with me soon. I am beginning to become impatient. I have been waiting and waiting for my giant black zagoran set, as well as my purple garumega, purple kappa and neon edition chiosu, as well as the GID Maddalla. (and a couple of others I can't remember right now.) :/ I'm trying my best to be as patient as possible but this wait is starting to get ridiculous.
SK got the sickest paint in the industry. I think it might be worth the wait. There sculpts aren't bad either...
yeah you dont have to tell me, my SK collection is massive. My issue is that i have been waiting almost 1-2 years for some of these items, preorders that I have payed for. Yet while I wait, I see boardmembers and auctions on YJA and even ebay posting the very same items I am waiting for. I am getting tired of it, frankly.
you're not alone. I'm too still waiting for: 12/2009 - SP Glow Maddalla - SP Dorol 8/2009 - SP Siberian iron beast - Garumega 2009 version 7/2009 - Hobby Complex Dorol ... and a few recent ones. I'm confident SK will honor their biz, but I agree with you, it starts to get ridiculous.
1-2 years of waiting? That's patience. I'd send them an semi-angry email or just call them directly and see what's up.
I've sent 3-4 emails over the past few months. The last one was respoinded to with reassurance that they would be shipped soon, but that was about 2 months ago. I don't think they are ripping me off, I just wish they would communicate with me a little better about what's going on. I understand there is a language barrier and maybe I have been spoiled by attentive communication from artists like Elegab, but i wish i could hear back from them a little more often. I was toying with the idea of calling them up directly, but I would need to have somebody on hand who could translate for me.
Oh wow, that's crazy! There must be a problem for sure. Perhaps you can get somebody to write him in Japanese. Might be easier for him to reply with a clearer explanation. My take is the order got messed up and he's run out of figures to paint. We know he'll need to make minimum runs and looking at the variety, I honestly think he's in a bind. But again this is just my thoughts. Best to hear from him.
