I am super excited about these figures, it seems like forever ago when they first announced them. The Protoman one actually has either an additional head or a different design on the opposite side of his head that is in the likeness of his old mask. The Megaman one comes with a hair accessory to wear when the helmet is removed. It was that attention to character detail that really interested me in the set.
Are there any other Megaman vinyls out there? I have seen those awful Jazzwares JUVIs online but other than that all I have seen are the action figure type toys [the other Jazzwares // Bandai releases].
don't know who makes them but at cvs and the like you can find decent rotocast figs for like $6 a piece, nice custom fodder, just double check paint apps sometimes they get slopped, oddly they also have bandai godzillas
The kubricks don't do much for me from the sets, but the be@rbricks are must haves with the 8-bits on them.
The ones that they have at CVS and such are the Jazzwares ones. Waiting... is right though, the paint on most of [from what I have seen over the years] is really awful.
There is a ton of gundam like mega man model kits that are really nice. http://www.toyhell.com/images/rockmannew1.jpg They are all from Japan and were never really released here. My brother was a huge Mega Man fan and had a few.
We'll have a few sets of each coming in shortly to Toy+Life, so stay tuned or sign up for the newsletter!
Yeah, nice touch. Pity the face on Mega Man isn't done as well. Looks like a 12 year old kid drew that face. Needs bolder line work. Also he has no nose. Not even an anime style nose shadow.
we now have these in stock. the shield is held on via a small rubber ring on the back - it's sturdy but a bit hard to get the shield in. The detail on 'em are really nice and even the box art / design is well worth leaving out for display. overall one of the better releases from Medicom in a while
