I apologize if these have already been posted. I saw these today on the Uamou facebook page. I am in love with these little...
She's had these up on her webstore for a bit now...along with some other goodies http://www.uamou.com/shop/e/all.htm
same artist does: some other uamou and everyone's favorite giant they're all in her webstore and more...except the big guy http://www.uamou.com/shop/e/all.htm
I really liked the purity of the original white versions of her characters. All this seems like a sell-out to me. Sorry ...
I think it's refreshing that she's doing new things with the sculpt. I'm on the other end of the spectrum I guess. I felt that her old designs were getting a little snoozey. I mean the sculpt isn't packed with detail (and that's part of the charm, I know), but at least with vinyl she's free to explore other ideas she might have. I like the switch to vinyl (for the minis at least), and I think it would be great if she released mini resin figures too.
I LOVE the one with the ice cream cones in it. I like the whole cute feel of it and I love ice cream cones so it's a win win!
my faves of the uamous are the two ceramic sitting versions she made when she lived in london.. i believe they were her first figures.. the eyes were + + style.. does anybody know if any of the vinyl versions had + + eyes or have they all been - - ??
thanks bert..i meant resin versions too i have not been too aware of her recent stuff,,until recently with the rXh cat collabs and the subsequent attention on this here forum...
I have one of those original "sitting" Uamou's and the comic it came with. Really nice piece - not ceramic though just some weird material. I think they were limited to 100 and numbered on the base. She also did this very cute piece called "Katz+Beer" which was polystone Bear in a smoking jacket! Here's a really shitty old pic of it:
