congrats! I was wondering if Pointy Max was some sort of nod to the Zag? I really like Batty Shogun too
I'm curious about some of the Dehara figures. I thought they were all hand painted 1 of's but I see they updated the sales list and marked some things as "few pcs available" like the spotted dog, menta Dave, Morlin Dave, and others. Can anybody confirm he did small runs and not 1 of's? Seems weird Stitch wouldn't mention it. Some of Horvaths items were specified as runs of 5, etc...
I know there were 20 of the Menta Bats and 10 of the other (spotted). I'm pretty sure the tag in front is telling you how many of each were made (10 Menta Dave's and 15 spotted dogs). I guess the figures with no number are just one offs?
That's my guess. I only bought the spotted Bat and he's 8/10 and I saw a Menta Bat ?/20 so I'm sure that's what the numbers represent, but yeah with no number I'm guessing one off, but I don't know for sure.
I'm not a DEHARA fan but I admit I'm impress. This black and white stuff simply rule. Love the Dave sculpt too, hope to see some of the colored one up for sale soon on this side.
The Ugly Nerds are attempting to account for all 18 of the show handmades. If you were a lucky adoptee, can you please post here http://forum.uglydolls.com/viewtopic.ph ... 8&start=40 or PM me so I can add to the list? I will keep identities anonymous. Thank you!
That's great! Which GR store will this be at, though, or is it more of an online celebration? Nice to see Deth P. Sun rising in the ranks.
This show is at the JANM, a large museum in downtown LA right at the top of Little Tokyo. Nothing online as far as I know. JAPANESE AMERICAN NATIONAL MUSEUM 369 East First Street Los Angeles, California 90012 phone: 213.625.0414 toll-free: 800.461.5266 fax: 213.625.1770 http://www.janm.org/
