Not sure what to call this, so I'm calling it Cronic Ocean. Hand painted. Three made, total. Cronic and One Up have the other two. This piece is rich in subtle paint apps. Sorry for my lousy camera skills:
No love, huh? Well I like the figure. It's good to know so few people are hunting for Cronic. It'll make it easier for me to collect them.
It's an amazing piece, the colors look fantastic. I am loving the Cronic color mix-ups lately. I'm going to have to pick one up someday soon.
I was told there's a Halloween version in the works. I also was told Cronic may stop doing hand painted clear figures since it takes so much time. It's extremely difficult to photograph these figures well. There's an amazing variety of color hues on each figure, which you can see when holding the figure and turning it around. Unfortunately in a flat photo, the colors all kind of jumble together.
Yo creaturion, Do you know how these are painted? Are they painted on the inside? Is the color paint or dye? Thanks, BC
Neat colours on this -- I like it. Tho I like the design of the Gigan-esque moster better. Still, tentacles are always cool. ^_^
I wish I had a set up to take better photos The colors are really interesting. When you turn the figure around and look at it at different angles, parts go from blue to green to purple, with an interesting kind of reflective quality on the surface. I wish I had a better technical vocabulary to explain the paint apps... If anyone knows more about the way these are painted, I'd love to read about it! Hopefully the folks at One Up can give me some insight into the process.
I may be wrong, but it looks like the body is made of one color of clear vinyl, and the appendages another color, with the details sprayed on. One Up told me the figures are hand sprayed
this is the coolest cronic IMO!! If the colors are so popular, I don't understand why they only made three?? what about the rest of us! Creaturion, open offer to buy this off you at anytime.
