maybe the mixed parts bemons were made not to be mixed parts because really, they do look lame but in fact released to strengthen the collector community, and have people coming together to trade and work at making complete bemons
I wish I had the drive, pull, karma, trade bait, money and everything else needed to put together an opaque pink bemon like you did with this pearl, Tim... this looks amazing...totally worth the effort it took...and really rewarding. (so, can you put together a pink from the parts left? )
Somewhere out there I'm sure even Lord Bemon thought about cracking a smile. Looks so great! Congratulations!
Thanks guys. Lorne, I'd love to help you out, but truth be told, I didn't end up with a single pink piece.
wow that is one really nice piece. congrats and thanks to everyone who helped so we could all see this thing!!!
Congrats Tim! A great bemon for a great bemon collector. I really underestimated the power of pearl, that things looks totally different under some light! I'd be tempted to find a giant clam shell to put that bemon into. It'd make for some interesting photos lol.
This is awesome and so is the way you assembled it. I was thinking of tracking down some parts ...and so my journey begins
To assemble a single color is going to be a tall order, plus you will need a lot of cash. If you were to peg the cost of a mix at $200, you will need to spend $800 theoretically.
I really didnt think it through as being 4 times the cost. I was hoping finding parts would be along the lines of First hunting down the piece Then trading parts and adding other bumps like (less than that much) cash or extra toys. shit. mixed bemon it is.
it really depends what colour you want to assemble. the normal colours wouldn;t be too difficult, except black if you have the ambition to assemble a gid or any of the marbled series, i can almost guarantee $800 is not enough. infact, even if money is no issue, you literally cannot find the parts.
This was an amazing achievement by a seriously dedicated collector 18 months ago . . . these days it would be considerably more difficult to replicate. Life's hard enough, why make it harder!
The challenge MAY be entertaining. but damn, i keep looking at that pearl bemon. so pretty.. do you polish it?
