Black one's too classy for me, I like both others a lot more (but I wouldn't kick the black hole out abed if ya get me?) So far I think some of the Exohead HP's are the best ones, clear with great colors.
words of wisdom there, for sure. as much as it would be great to own just one of these, feeding the hype and paying crazy prices is just the wrong way to go, imo. last time i checked patience is still a virtue, apparently!
RM is ok. I like that he handpaints the mechanical portions; it's a nice contrast to the freehand sprays used on the others. I don't care for the two store exclusives. The Hedorah color schemes don't seem to work as well on this sculpt- conceptually or in execution. I could see a Garuban tribute, though, which would be amazing.
Mm, I've yet to see any come anywhere near being as nice as the glow...don't really care for any of these three. Not like I could afford one if I did, though.
I'm pretty sure a version of disc monster/mother will be more readily available soon. At least something like a King Bee run of 25-30. Zollmen has been following a pattern of releases with new figures. Usually test/one off/lottery figures, then the various japanese shop runs like Ichi, Garimpo, etc, then usually King Bee will do one stateside. Which wouldn't be bad, King Bee has been doing wonderful versions of Zollmen figures!
Well the first 'flip' has happened. KT sold the RM black version for roughly 523 in us dollars. Guess that's a steal......
crazy, crazy price ... and imo the least attractive of the 3 new ones. makes me wonder just how much people would 'actually' be willing to pay for one of these.
i wish more folks think like you and don;t care for the black. black is infact the only version that i would trade big for. as much as i don't like it, but what lixx mentioned about it being a "steal" maybe somewhat true. i doubt prices will be much lower then these levels from what i hear being offered around here. but i can wait and wait and wait and wait......
I got same doubt!!!The crazy price reached almost 50,000 yen in KT but also sold out. I don't understand how come people willing to pay such huge amount of money to buy a toy. (almost monthly expenses for a average family) Nice Toy is only for millionaire, not for me. IMO
Yeah it seems this particular hobby is basically becoming a rich mans game. I guess it happens in every scene, you have something that starts off pure and fun, then eventually it's all profit driven. I don't mind the limited part, just the huge sums of money being throw at it. I'm actually sick of collecting anything anymore. I love what I have, but I kinda want to collect new life experiences now more than ever....
that's about as deep as it gets right there. I don't know if I want to stop collecting what I collect, but a good couple months without obsessing and spending on toys (by choice) isn't a bad idea. hard to stick to though.
