can someone please tell/show how big the different sizes of these figures are? i see them, and i am very interested in them, but it appears there are several different sizes(i see mid-sized ones, etc) i got the earth restroyer figure(which is a hedora, right?) and i was surprised at how little it is(but i still think it rocks) thanks!
To help you clarify this question - are you talking about traditional "Toho Hedorah figures from Godzilla" or the newer Hedorah inspired figures like "Hedoran by Gargamel"? If you go for the whole thing, there are literally (no lie) over 100 hedorah figures, trust me I am a nerd an have most all of them. Earth Restroyer is a repaint of the Gargamel mini standing Hedoran. The Gargamel Hedoran set is based very tightly on the IKB Hedorah bootleg (assumed to be bootleg as there is no copyright info) from the early 70s. There are three IKB figures, Standing, Walking and Flying/Forming (referred to as 1, 2 and 3 by some collectors -see super7 issue #2) - Gargamel resculpted the 9" version of the standing version for the 9" Standard Hedoran. Then Gargamel resculpted all three versions for their mini line (standing, walking and flying/forming). Earth Restroyer is a repaint of this standing mini. Gargamel has also made a 9" version now of the flying/forming version. To date there are 8 variations on the 9" standing Gargamel, and a crapload of mini variations, I will try to take a picture of them. There are 2 9" flying/forming variations so far as well. We still have several glow minis at the store, a set or two of the painted versions, as well as the clear and orange flying/forming 9" versions if memory serves me correctly.
funny, I always thought #3 was called "crawling hedoran" until I saw you referring to it as flying recently.
The "flying" IKB is like a hand puppet, it has a hole in the bottom, theoretically so you could "fly" it aound the room -but I agree, it looks more like crawling, or like a "forming" figure. Regardless of the vernacular, it is crazy!
