i think if you do a search for the actual city  you'll find some hits in the whatever forum. The question has come up before..

haha. i would totally drink tea in Brittan, because i like stereotypes (as long as they aren't too offensive). and don't worry. i've had a few too many drinks and lasted past everyone else's passout session, and tend to be an overwhelming ass in this state of mind...i'm still sober enough to have proper spelling though  , and the use of my trademark "..."

Getting the thread back on track . . . no real stores featuring kaiju in London. You could try Chinatown (just behind Leicester Square) on the off chance. Other than that DPMHI-GPS on Great Portland street is worth a looksee (pay no heed to the cooler than thou attitude) as it Playlounge on the outskirts of Soho although both are primarily Western orientated and neither are cheap!

I'd be more tempted to stick to sightseeing, experiencing the vibe and picking up obscure random souvenirs that you can't get anyplace else . . . all the museums, galleries and historical interest is real centralized and well worth tube hopping to make the most of! Toys . . . not so much!

as for toy shops,,,andy pretty much nailed it...

although take his skewed northern directions with a grain of salt  cooler-than-thou Nathan Barley temple DPMHI is on great pulteney street,,,not great portland street

playlounge is just around the corner from there....

also,,you may want to check out forbidden planet on shaftesbury avenue (but again it will be a "western" selection)

chinatown is fun,,,not too sure about finding toys,,,but there is a little tucked-away mall that recently opened that has all sorts of cool stuff packed into a small space..it is at the end of gerrard street,,just behind charing cross road

while you are there,,grab some chinese food at hun's on wardour street or okinomiyaki at abeno on museum street...

The answer is a simple no.

Definitely check out China town though- the food there is good.

Forbidden Planet is good- but very expensive and nothing out of the ordinary by American standards, as you seem to have kool comic shops on every block.

You could try Magma books too just down the road from Forbidden Planet at Cambridge circus, its a good shop and if your lucky you might get one or two KR capsule toys!!!! :D

    There ain't much.
We could get you pretty drunk though. Then you can buy toys online and pretend you got them in London :D
    That's what I do. ;)

I'm nearer to Birmingham and there's nothing there either! Besides Forbidden Planet

The UK sucks for kaiju shops - thank God(zilla) for t'internet!

The nearest thing to a toyshow I've encountered here is Memorabilia at the NEC - Loads of DVDs, Star Wars, a handful of Bandai figures and a few nasty unmentionable vinyls and that's it.

Oh, and you could queue to get a photo taken with the Fonz!

    "Heeeeey" !!!

Forget finding toys in London... All you will probably find is expensive Toy2r figures.
I'd recommend getting your self a decent coffee at Flat White in Soho though :)

Check out Stolenspace and Stella Dore galleries. Tate Modern is also worth a visit to see the Rothko's, Manet's, Bacon's etc up close.

Best Falafel in London is from Gaby's Deli on Charing Cross Road :D
