KAWS Ashtray Released

I actually like the puffy shoes, the ashtray and some of the shirts but the price put me off buying anything. $95. for what seems to be a huge run of ashtrays seems a bit high, but considering his aftermarket, he can pretty much charge whatever and people will buy it.
None of the ephemera puts me off though. The operating costs for OF must be massive and he has never pumped out toy releases or prints, so the little stuff is probably essential to keep the business going

 

His marketing tricks keep expanding, applying his signature 'X'd' eyes style to anything these days... Did anyone see that new coverdesign he made for the upcoming Kanye West record ?

 

he has been doing it for ages now. he could put X's on a shirt of oprah and it would sell out on day one.

yeah $20 for an ashtray..but fuck $100 ashtrays... at Union here they were priced at $195..so dumb..I wish I could have scored a BXH one from span or the gargamel ones

 

i do like waffles, and for the price that would cost they better be the best goddamn waffles on this earth.

 

all that new OF stuff was out @ union almost a week before it dropped on kawsone.com though so that was kinda cool...
