Wow, I guess I didn't appreciate the level of truth to the mystery until now! Not too sound more dumb than I may already have, but in 'hunting', do you mean in certain stores in Japan? ('Cause I'm all about the hunt, no doubt!)

I've forgotten the origin of Drunk Boy.

There was a thread somewhere with an image and maybe some insight from PK or someone.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Future Man, someone told me (I think Baikin) that Anraku doesn't sell in Japan any more, not even through the mailing list. But good luck any ways! You might find some of the older stuff?

I recall that the inspiration for the figure came from a old mural/painting at some temple.

I thought it was just based on the painting he used on the first header. It shows a giant red Oni fighting some samurai.

Anraku was calling a group of figures "Classical Beasts" or something like that. That group included DB and Nue. Not sure what others might be part of that group.

Yeah it's from some story or something, there's a Wiki page about it and Nue out there. I'll try to dig it up when I'm home if someone doesn't by then.
