i thought Koji said these were always intended to be rubber eraser figures, which are in the works. these sets from the show were just limited release protos made of resin. really looking forward to the rubber eraser ones.. someday?
I missed out on these babies as well. At the time, I was too busy talking to Glenn about how Gargamel never sells on preview night.
Any news on if/when the actual erasers coming out? I still want to add these to my collection and I can't find the resin ones anywhere.
The resin ones will be (near) impossible to find. I think only 20 sets were produced and instantly sold out at SDCC.
This is great news, because as soon as I handled these I wanted to stick them in my pocket. They'd never survive, though.
actually to be straight Pogue walked up when I was talking to Koji and asked about them but i think thats what was said. i collect the old diener creatures & have been wanting to start collecting baikin gundan for a while you into either of those Roger? here are some dieners pic borrowed from weird hollow blog
Holt shit! Those are awesome. How old are those? I swear I had some of those when I was a kid. Particularly the green guy in the top row and the outside two in the bottom row.
i think from my memories these were released a few times begining 1978 or so on up through early eighties, there were flying saucers too. hope these gargamel erasers will be out in near future. the protos are really great & are a perfect addition to a legacy of this style toy.
oooooooh' wow...!!! I had all of those when I was a kid...!!! wish I still had them in my possession...
would it be OK to start an eraser thread in the vintage threads? i tried to see if there was already one but couldn't see anything. of all the gargamel figures made which ones would you guys & gals like to see produced as mini eraser figures? here are a few i would really enjoy seeing: Kyoka Ikeda version of mosugon 2 Koji, Martin & Bwanas stufs the other 2 hedo bros last but not least.. dokuroman dokuroman dokuroman (i would buy a hundred of these!!!!!!) also would love to see the process of making this style of toy as i bet its fascinating to observe & prolly smells good too!
Any update on the Gargamel erasers? These were some of the few toys I was planning on buying this year.
wow blast from the past on those erasers. i had that green guy in the top row on the left. incredible. i'd love to know who made those as well.
