You all want to get together for dim sum first sunday after comicon? Empress Pavilion 988 N Hill St Ste 201 , Los Angeles , CA , 90012-1750 aug 3, 11:00 Make a list if this sounds like a good idea.
Empress rules... You can hit Robocon, and the other two asian DVD / toy stores too! the OG Munky King was just around the corner. bummer it's gone now...
I'm down fer that..poor robocon only thing they have I want is the 400% boba fett kubrick very nice people there!
Ok lets get this re-going. Muton, sorry dim sum is almost entirely meat or sea food stuffed into little dumplings. Be there anyways and have some tea. You can always have a lot of deserts. Before we go I need to know a number to tell the hostess. This restaraunt is huge and crazy. A total circus when it comes to dim sum. And I suppose we should try and meet outside, in front. If anyone wants pm for my cell in case your late and need to find us inside. 1. SoS (Elia)
Although I am sure PlasticHunter and I will eat our fair share we still would like to have more join us. Put your name down or fear my wrath!
its a go as long as there is more then 1. So far its two and I may bring my younger brother. So three plus you and now its four. More is always better with dim sum.
there's some veggie stuff. fried tofu and the like. we can always order off the menu for vegetarians.
turnip cakes! although those have meat in them i think. they also have the scallion cakes too! yummy! i'm jealous guys!
Just for the record. If you guys ever make it back to BASK country there's a place that has regular and vegan dim sum here. Its called red lantern and its in the mission.
Toys and dimsum. Lots o' fun. We should do this again (indian, or thai next time?), or maybe a meet-up at adam's new favorite ping-pong club. I wonder how rusty my game is? p.s. A few of us will be headed up to BASK country next weekend. Vegan dimsum might be an option!!
That was so much fun! I'm still stuffed. Definitely down for other food adventures. Thanks for the pics Pete.
Those would be my show n' tell Glyos toys from O'Nell. You can get them here: http://www.onelldesign.com/
