http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzAQu23t19A&feature=related I love that intro so much. I Need it ripped as an mp3 for my phone.
Man I loved silverhawks! I've gotta get that Monstar figure! I used to have him back when I was a kid but somehow I lost it and could never figure where it went. Thanks for the trip down the memory lane.
all the toys had some sort of flipping mechanism. like their arms would flip up exposing their wings... mon star had the head that flipped over. there was a bull one who's head would buck like a bull
Quality American cartoons. I would actually do my homework for the next day while I was still in school just so I could watch cartoons when I got home. There was a lot of cool cartoons like Silverhawks, Visionaries, Thundercats, MASK, The Galaxy Rangers, and a bunch more. While looking around youtube, I found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKmys-Tys90&feature=related ENJOY
I bought a carded Monstarr at the Wizard Comic Con a few years ago for like $10. Ah, the memories. But I think the best toy was, by far, Buzz-Saw. It's funny, though- there's far less people that remember this show than I would have thought, given that it had a pre-Transformers time slot in Hawaii.
I didn't really ever dig it... thought it was Thundercats in Space... and I didn't ever really like Thundercats, well Snarf and Mum Ra were ok
Mooonstar of limbooo!!! Give me the MIGHT the MUSCLE the MENACE of MONSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!!!
Silverhawks Anyone who' grew up in the 80's was into the Toy, me included. Even some of the girl's I knew then liked it. The production values of that show is totally outstanding comparing to others.
I have almost no memories of the actual tv show but I had both Mumbo Jumbo the bull, and buzz saw and loved both when i was younger. i think Mumbo Jumbo ended up being melted by a sparkler during my destructive tween years.
Came across this: I had no idea the recent history of the property was so chaotic. Looks like it's currently a stalemate between Warner Brothers and Super7 as to whether the property continues in some form.
Silverhawks are my #1 all time favorite IP. The figures released by Super7 so far have been fantastic (wave 2). I should have wave 1 in hand soon... Brian Flynn did an interview with the Fwoosh on YouTube and stated that wave 4 is due to be announced after wave 1 is in customer's hands / June. Someone also asked about Silverhawks reaction figures on a Twitter Q&A this past week and the answer was that they were coming, but may be a bit yet. Obviously things can change, but I think Dan's video put some panic out into the world that probably isn't warranted.
Forgive the double post, but Mr. Flynn did another YouTube interview and confirmed Copper Kid and the Space Racer is wave 5. So we've got at least two more waves coming.
Silverhawks is the superior out of the three Rankin Bass Japanese animated series (Thundercats obviously, and the known but rarerly seen Tigersharks) as far as storyline goes. Can't beat wacky Space Gangsters. Pokerface and Buzzsaw are without a doubt the best of Mon*Star's cohorts.
I liked being quizzed on astronomy. It was educational. So....Was Snarf a cat or another type of cat/humanoid being all together?
