REALLY?@?!@? UGH he's so....frigid! The Joker is animated, and funny and still frightening at the same time. I've never seen Ledger act an emotion past brain dead. PLUS the make up is LAAAMMEE! Why did they need to make it like gory and horror-esque? That's so nu-metal/ICP trying-to-be-edgy-but-just-lame to me. Sorry, not attacking you, but UGH! I'm so pissed I may not see it. I loved "Begins" love the director, love Bale as the Bat but.............they just fucked up too much with Ledger for me. It's one of those moments where my inner fanboy comes out and scorns it all. Usually I'm much more passive, but when they take such a distinct character and meddle with it like that, my inner nerd screams in pain. What makes it WORSE to me is that it's all the other right ingredients for an awesome movie. It's like (and I think I've said this before somewhere) if you get an awesome meal. Like, whatever the most PERFECT meal there is to YOU. Than, on top of it all, is a turd. People can still be like "well you can't complain, there's that lobster or steak just the way you like it" but still, you're not gonna eat it. There's a big turd on it. Ledger is my turd on, what should otherwise have been, a killer comic movie. I'll see it, and give it a shot. But it's hard to get past that turd. Nerd. Rant. Over.
Rant away... No problem They killed the X-Men franchise for me with The Last Stand...should have kept Singer at the helm. Spiderman 3? FF all sucked. Although am looking forward to Ed Norton's Hulk! I have faith in this Batman franchise, they must've picked Ledger for a reason? I read an interview with the director on how it's more on Harvey Dent's fall into the Two Face character. With the Joker they wanted the whole Killing Joke Joker (Alan Moore) I think he could pull it off. What do you think of the Batcycle Whooooa... Yeah, I still lived there during "Begins" filming and worked downtown so got to see some stuff. It was fun. Ed Nortons Hulk is interesting for sure, I'm with you there. Great actor and Marvel admits they hated the first one. Isn't Tim Roth playing Abomination? Sorry, OT.......
Tim Roth is the Abomination! That was a great choice. They should have had him in the last movie. Although Nick Nolte's Absorbing Man was a hoot!!! And those poodles.... I do remember Chicago Comics, I still hit it sometimes when in town for some goofy crap and it's not too far from Uncle Fun AKA best store ever (sorry s7.) I hit Graham Crackers downtown all the time too. I like the cast of Hulk, but the story and bad CG killed it. He bounced like Flubber, I saw it free though so can't I FART A LOT too much. I thought Connelly was the best part of Hulk. I didn't know that Tyler was playing Betty. I don't like or hate her, she's just....there, and it's not a role I care about as much as Hulk and Abomination so that's cool. I don't think there's trailers yet. Well if Joker is minimal in DK than it may not offend me so much, but HOW isn't he the main guy?@?!?!?! He's the best villain ever...well next to Vader and the Emperor MY personal Fav.
Uncle Fun's is the best... I've done some holiday shopping there from time to time. J1Toy use to be down the street from Chicago Comics... Once a place to get your vinyl fix. Yeah, it seems like they've been pushing the Joker as the main baddie but not so sezs the director. I like the new direction they took batman movies, to gritty and real from campy. Batman to me was always a stretch of a character, throwing perfect batarangs,that for some reason don't return like a boomerang, depending on who was drawing it I think I remember it happening a few times, and beating up insane characters like mr. freeze and bane that you know could kick his but and he like recovers in less then a day from all this crazy all night ass kicking. What? really? However these new ones make it very believable and I really like them a lot. As for the Joker, ummmm I thought that was the Clown from Spawn for a minute. The pocket full of only lint and knives was cool though, makes him seem crazy but he could be happier. Hopefully in the movie he seems like someone on an up and down acid trip, dellusions of reality with moments of violence and then twisted distorted humor. I am hoping for the scarecrow next, that chemical thing could easily transfer into the new "reality" batman.
We had Scarecrow in "Begins" and I felt that it was a miscast too, dude jsut didn't fit THAT role. But Liam saved it! I like the grit of it too, but Burton will always own it. Perfect match of darkness and cartoon. Perfect. Also, on the Joker again, no one will match Mark Hamills voice of it to me. Just nailed it, so I have high nerd expectations.

Hey he's in Latitude Zero.. he plays the baddie opposite Joseph Cotton. His Joker always scared me as a kid. We noticed from a Batmovie he was in that his mustache was never shaved and looked kinda strange

im really really happy with the new batman franchise. i was nearly devistated when i heard who was playing the joker. i also HATE the scarecrow. that guy was to me NOTHING how the scarecrow should have been. i NEEDED him to be a tall lanky guy. so im not suprised about not liking the choice for the bad guy in this one. im just hoping it will work out. not THRILLED with the makeup, but its cool. im really interested to see how it go's i think the casting otherwise has been really good sofar. the one poster of the joker he almost looks like marilyn manson. im not sure what i expected to see tho so im not gonna get too upset till i see the movie and ill hope he doesnt suck too bad. i agree that burton did it best sofar, but this is like a whole new level of batman so its cool, im just glad that batman and robin neon 90's garbage is over with.

If you dont see this movie because of one actor, thats nuts!Unless its Tom Cruise( that guys a nut!) Im am a comicbook nerd through and through but I think fanboys expect to much from movies, they are not written by creators or the creators original vision.Think of movies as "Elseworld" tales. Take a deep breath fanboys...comb those skittles out of your beards...and stop calling the Androids Dungeon every 5 mins to see if they got the new Battlestar galactica mini-mates in.
Well it's like I said, usually I don't have the fanboy-rage when it comes to comic movies, I know what to expect. But damn it! That ONE ACTOR is playing my fav. villain and I hate the actor. Pretty easy to see where my rage comes from in this case. It's like if the rest of the movie was cast perfectly, Joker included, but they cast The Rock as Batman. Don't lie and say that wouldn't piss you off (or make you giggle, it'd somehow do both to me) and your inner nerd rage wouldn't be released. To me, miscasting the Joker, is just as bad. Big Joker fan is all.
