They've been airing on Friday nights, but you can see them all on scifi.com/battlestar - can't wait to see them on DVD instead of a post-it sized grainy window.

Oh man Roger, that was too much for me to digest in one reading, especially right after coming home from work LOL. I will re-read more carefully later tonight. In the meantime, you should send this to the show's producers! Do you know anyone working on the show currently?

It'd be interesting to know your speculations about the impending return to Earth. When they get there, will it be pre-historic times as the name "Adama" suggests, or will it be as some have speculated now ... contemporary times, with the "other" human race having evolved in some sort of parallel with some sort of psychic connection in another part of the universe? Or ... something else?

Also, do you know anything about the way that some details of Jewish and Mormon cosmology play into both the original and the current series' mythos? The significant number twelve, "Kolob," etc. Is that just writers having a bit of fun with cues, or is there more to it?

I sooooo can't wait for the final season. I know that the producers say it'll be the last because the viewership isn't robust enough to justify the expense of an ongoing series, but I think that given the radical twists and turns of the past two seasons, they really do need to wrap it up before it strays into never-resolving X-Files territory.

I don't know anyone who works there, but this is the sort of thing they usually avoid. Lawsuits and so on.
The Dylan song makes me think that it would be an Earth of the 1960s or later, but who knows. There are so many similarities between their culture and ours already. They have boxing, chicken, Philip Glass, etc.

And even though that big pull-back from the last scene showed that they were seemingly very close to Earth, did you see the latest promos?
I really don't know. In the original show, Larson was definitely inserting his Mormon beliefs in there, but I seem to remember that Moore is an atheist and probably not prone to do the same thing. Of course, religious stories can make good science fiction sometimes, and vice versa...
Yeah, the fact that they've decided it will definitely end will hopefully avoid that.

No, I haven't seen the promos and don't really watch much TV, so I cancelled cable awhile back. I originally got the show via iTunes and then the DVDs as they've been released. Do the new promos make it look like they won't reach Earth?

One thing that just occurred to me: Anders might be significant because he's the only cylon we've ever seen get sick, long before the plague incident. Didn't Simon say that it was impossible for cylons to get sick?

Being a cylon could also explain Tigh's herculean resistance to alcohol.

I'm told there's a torrent of Razor floating around. I may pull the trigger on it tonight.

I used to think that Tigh's wife would turn out to be the Cylon. I think we were intended to suspect that. All I know is that I want Season 4. Now.

Who knows, she still could turn out to be the final cylon.

    So could Billy.

Boy, that would suck, wouldn't it?

And did you hear that Season 4 is pushed back to April? Grrr...

Good thinking. I guess I stopped speculating when she died ... or did she ... "die?" :)

Just please don't let it be Roslyn.

No, I didn't know about the push-back. Well, that gives me time to review the entire series thus far. Hopefully the delay is a Sopranos sort of thing ... taking the time to get it right.

Just finished watching Razor. NO SPOILERS...

It's good! If you were watching this chronologically between the episodes where it was supposed to fit in, it would work very well. No loose ends or major retconning that doesn't fit with what we know. It does hint at something for the fourth season with a piece of dialogue, but not with the main plot line.

The credits list a lot of actors that don't appear in the TV cut of it, so I'm assuming that the DVD version will have a lot of extra footage that doesn't air. Also, out of the flashback shorts that have aired, only two of them appear as part of Razor, so keep up with those for extra goodness.

    Overall, recommended.

Watched Razor again last night. It inspired me to go through the mess in my closet and dig out my Pegasus toy. There is one short 10 second scene in there that will give fans of the original show a real thrill. Can't wait to see the DVD version when it comes out in a couple of weeks.

All seven of the Razor flashbacks are up, definitely check them out:

So now there's stronger a chance that we may not see the second half of Season 4 of Galactica next year, but this time it's due to the strike, not scheduling:

Razor made up the first two episodes, so if they wrapped 413 that means they produced 11 episodes that Sci-Fi will start airing in April. I wonder if they'll still be picketing by then.

Can't wait to watch Season 3! We burned through 1 & 2 really quickly - just like we do with any TV series we watch on DVD!

Boy, what a downer. If there is some sort of higher power guiding the fleet, it must really hate them.

Razor was some proper hard sci-fi, exceptionally good imo. Im glad they are giving BG a limited run & focusing on the quality writing. Maybe they'll renovate Buck Rogers (w/ aging Gil Gerard) and Planet of the Apes next.

I'm way behind on this (aka halfway through season 2) but i totally have to agree with Kozik... insane how they took the lamest sci-fi series and turned it inside out.

That's why it's a tough sell for people who haven't seen the current series. "You mean the one with the brown velour shirts and the bad '70s hair?" Although by now its rep as one of the best procedural dramas is pretty well-established.

Very excited to see what happens next. The way the last cliffhanger episode ended was surprising to say the least.
