I want to come back at the end of February I will be attending an exclusive event at Disneyland's Haunted Mansion, and if I can pull myself away from nerdy ride-related fun maybe I will drive down into the city for some other nerdy fun. I would like to eat more of your junky fast food - this time donuts and hot dogs are musts!
yes indeed. I need to see how many vacation days she can get, but we will be at Disney for probably 2 and I really really want to go to Knotts Berry Farm as well this time too, but I'd love to make it down into the city, even just for one night.
Someone explain the "I love" LA? Just asking as I've never been further west than the Ohio river... Fucking sheltered, yes, I know...
the question is why is their a midget dressed like chucky on the walk of fame? did chucky get a star?
dude the only real reason to go to the walk of fame is to gawk at the celebrity impersonators! the real question is why aren't there MORE midgets dressed like chucky on the walk of fame?
When I first stayed in LA around 1991, I didn't think much of it. I didn't have a local guide, and went to teh wrong places. The last two weeks I've had culture loving friends over form London, and they found so many great things to do on a clutural tip - The Getty is always amazing, theartre here is outstanding, shopping is awesome, there are some great views and scenery, food is good and low cost and so many places are just a short(ish) drive away from LA - San Diego, Santa Barabara, Plam SPrings. Its a pretty cool place all said and done.
I lived in Newport Beach for a couple of years. My only friends in "LA" then lived in Beverly Hills... But from the south of LA, looking north, it just looked like Oobleck on the horizon - some kind of green toxic cloud on the horizon. I admit that in my two years in S Cal I never really got to know LA, but what I did get to know was... I don't know... so FLAT... so spread out... so kind of "nothing" except lots of "cool" spots here and there. I LOVED northern CA - San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, etc. I lived in Sacramento for 8 years, and my son was born there.... Bottom line. I would take northern CA against southern CA anytime. It has nothing to do with the climate. Just the countryside. Real bottom line. The best country I have ever experienced is the north west of the lower part of Michigan (if you want to google it - Frankfort Crystal Lake area). There are very few areas in the US that can compare to the beauty and clean air and clean water of this area (Lake Tahoe included - which I am also very intimately familiar with).
Scott was there to see me run sideways away from him when he came charging at me! hahahah Best impersonator.
The guy who plays Spiderman is pretty funny as he is so skinny the costume kind of hangs off him, and he has really bad posture. In fact, he's kind of like teh original Steve Ditko skinny Spiderman, but with a grimy looking costume. I was taking some pics lying next to the Godzilla star, and when I got up I felt a bit dizzy (I think the sun was shining right in my beyes too) and a guy with a midlands accent helped me up, and I was tripping as I totally thought it was OZZY. Turns out it was the Ozzy impersonator, but in silhouette and in an impaired state, I was totally foooled for a brief moment or too. All I kept thinking was, wow, people will trip when they see a pic of me and Ozzy....but not fake Ozzy...oh well. PS. I went to see Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D on Saturday. It was fun, but the clusterfuck of trying to park at Hollywood and Highland (imagine a traffic jam INSIDE the lot) reminds me NEVER to go out in that vicinity again on a Saturday night.
