I'd like to comment about what a great time I had this year at SDCC. It was great to see all the skullbrainers I met in the past. It was also nice meet fellow boardmembers through out the weekend as we creeped the s7 booth. Joel(lamour supreme/most positive dude ), Keith(skullstar) post photos of your art collection!, scary andy, skylar & missy, Scott(HMS), Chris Kohler, scott(stealthtank), La merde, MARK(livingdead), darth hank and anybody whos board name escapes me.(I suck) extra thanks to: Brian stillman(docatomic), whose Film "Toys are US" is a MUST have. I've watched it twice in the last 24 hours. Totally enjoyable and features at least 3 Skullbrain members. Shouldnt that be enough to compel you to buy any film? Ramos- Nerdquake was great! Next year we should get a big group photo. I'd also like to point out he got THE BEST pushead piece of the weekend. POST A PHOTO PLEASE! Brian and all of super7 for providing us with Great vinyl/events all weekend long ! My backstage pass is going right into my detolf. No thanks to the east coast storms that left me stuck all day in the cleveland airport.
Great post. The pics all look cool. Sounds like it was heaps of cash blowing fun. Wish I could'a been there.
yay! it was nice to finally meet you & hang out! glad to see another east coaster. We got back to philly late & there were a thousand people at the airport, it was a mess. looked like lots of flights got cancelled too. glad we made it in, even if we were 2 hours later than scheduled.
Nice meeting you, too, Alex. Glad you like the flick. My flight was supposed to go to philly, and then on to NYC, but they cancelled it and I got to spend the night in the SD airport, next to some kid watching Naruto videos (without headphones, at full volume...). Always fun. Nothing like a 26 hour travel day to make you appreciate your home.. But now I've got loads of toys to unpack, so that's cool.
I had an amazing con. It was great to meet all the dudes from Gargamel, Datadub,Uub and all the rest of the fine folk. I bought a mountain of stuff, including, yes, the 4 foot Kaws at the TT booth, but I DID manage to get it for the regular retail price so I am pretty happy. I will post a pic or 2 of my haul later on. 2 best scores: A RxH shop apron that Datadub brought over for me and that AWESOME Marmit produced Sky Devil over at the Kaiju Big Battel booth.
i had a great time at the con. meeting new boardmembers and hanging with the usual sf guys wish i talk to hiddy tho.
i'm pretty sure we met too but like you, i'm terrible with names. none the less a super fun comic con and nerdquake. i hope everyone made it home safe. i was delayed a full day...which sucked ass but i'm home now so it's all good.
I had a blast! I have a little SDCC wrap up posted at http://www.mutantmassacre.com with some pics to boot.
What can I say? I missed Nerdquake but I still got to hang with the bros. Thank you everyone for being much cooler than I could imagine.
i didnt meet any of you but I began my deep dive into kaiju. loved being at the whistle stop on thursday. my kind of bar.
beware..you are about to enter a fabulous journey to the center of your wallet... (apologies to RFTC)
It was a great time. The best part for me was meeting board members I've "known" for years: Jordan23, Pogue, Princess Fatima, Locomoco, Mutonismyfriend, Paulkaiju, Ouister, Irsk, brianflynn, the one & only Frank Kozik and others who I'm blanking out on in my fried state of being. What a great group of people!
