I never really look at eBay or YJA these days, but needed to gauge some pricing and spotted it.

Balck base vinyl with a crude gold spray. Not very subtle, but a nice bit of history from the OG Secret Base store.

 

yeah, it was a great price for an old bagged get points figure… if it had a slightly more interesting paintjob I would have snatched it up myself!

 

This is a big get for me today. Microman Jesse (the blue one) just arrived today! I’m one Microman short of the full set. All I need is M102 Jack (the yellow one)!


Once I get them all, I plan to open the bagged ones for a proper display.

Snagged a couple of the Quail Toy Dino lucky bags. Very happy with my pulls. There’s a little glitter in the blank too.

 

I was/ am not familiar with this maker/ these toys, but that pink dino is excellent!

Is the spray on the back just green?

I really really love this resin Devilman from the 50th Anniversary event. The SB Devilmen were blind bags, kind of weird that I got 2 purples, but that's how the cookie crumbles.

Didn't collect these myself but the photo shows how undeniably great this toy is. Super nice.

 

I really dragged my feet for years waiting for the "perfect" SkullHeadButt. Then they suddenly caught on, and prices soared. Oops.



This opportunity presented itself recently, and there was just something about these colors on this sculpt that came together perfectly for me. I know I had seen the character around, yet it never caught my attention before.

Though, there are at least 3 'Ooze-It' inspired SHB sculpts floating around. Now, with Target Earth's Ooze-Head homage becoming part of the SHB line too, it's even more confusing. But, am I wrong? While this is obviously Ooze-It adjacent visually, there are no other craters in the face’s texture, and it's got the bumpy scales instead, plus a small horn on top???

Is this based on something else entirely, or just a really adventurous Ooze-It interpretation? Is there another vintage bootleg Ooze-it that changed up the details?

 

those are awesome! Try as I might I always miss these little Dinos. Either sold out or a totally forget when they drop. One day I’ll add one to the collection.

 

Were those SB Devilman a new release, or were they old stock? I’d love to add another to my collection but the secondary price on these is silly right now.

 

They were new releases for the mazinger dman 50th anniversary fest. They were fairly priced and still pretty obtainable.

 

Bit the bullet, the yen was low enough to let me get it at retail-ish.
This is the coolest toy I've ever purchased, it's not cool because of hype, but because of how amazing the sculpt is. I can't say enough good things about this guy.

Insane pick up!!!

 

Yeah it's really great, I really wanted the green guy, but honestly this fit's in my collection of all black blanks quite nicely. Not having paint doesn't take anything away from the sculpt. That said, I absolutely love Izumi's spray patterns.
