(Dismembered legs from the Kaiyodo Garamon vinyl model kit, which I built and painted about 23 years ago. In late 2011, building up to GARAMANIACAL!, I started a piece for the show which involved the deconstruction of this kit. I never finished it, had too much else going on for the show and this one fell by the wayside. Has sat in pieces in my WIP cabinet for years upon years now, giving me nothing but regret for cutting it up. Finally, I've a plan to put it to good use...)

Yes and I even sold a couple of toys for it. I consider it toys too so same budget, but my goal is to reduce the budget.
I noticed suffering from momentary short memory loss when about to press 'buy' for anything. Might want to have that checked out.

New Rodney Mullen deck for almost by Haroshi with help from HxS.

Can’t imagine I’ll ever own an original Haroshi or any HxS toys so this will do nicely.

 

How did Mullen get involved @Bob ?

Do you know the story behind it?

 

not really sure. This is the second set of boards Haroshi has done for Almost as part of their ‘artist series’. The first set of 3 used solely vintage kaiju.

not sure why Mullen got the HxS collab one.

 

Rodney is the owner of Almost, so I’d guess he got first pic of graphics. I’ve never seen him post any toys on his IG so I’m going assume he just likes that graphic.

 

I knew the Mullen / Almost link but that is what made me question whether there was also a toy association. Could be that the Creative Director is a collector or some other random association but certainly an interesting collaboration.
