Let me let the rest of you in on a little secret, Ban says this every year and then he ends up buying more than one bag. Don't let him fool you. He's addicted
Yeah, they should totally make the heads exchangeable! That would be perfect for the zokki kaiju concept.
Looks like Tetran guts in the LB's have just become more of a possibility, given they actually appear in some of the custom show previews!
this have anything to do with the quality issues with the AA Deathra orders, and long lead times from factories?
Probably factory delays. Even Garg can't compete with the large production runs coming from other companies.
Considering I’ve had some orders at one of the main factories delayed since October of last year, it’s not at all surprising that something of the scale of Gargamel’s lucky bags is behind schedule.
That's still a pleasant surprise. I'm sure people will be frustrated but there is nothing anyone can do and the gargamel gang are solid people.
I am positive the guys are doing their best at getting the bags out to all us retailers and customers. Positive this delay is not something they want or expected. Could be a business opportunity for anyone in Japan that had a spark in their belly to start pulling vinyl. I would happily invest PS - Thanks to all who are remaining patient
Someone asked via PM if there was any new info about Lucky Bags. Rampage and I went out and visited and played with Gargamel for a few days. Kiyoka seems in pretty good health and spirit. Everything for lucky bags arrived the day before we got there. Now they just need to do all the painting and assembling. These days Gargamel is a one man operation, but I do think Naoya helps a lot with painting duties. They actually live just about 5 minutes from each other up some very windy mountain roads in the suburbs of kumamoto. It's VERY beautiful. I had a funtastical time with the two brothers, and Koji too. They took us to their favorite spots to eat, and the only toyshop in Kumamoto which was totally awesome tiny packed junk shop inside a building that was truly going back to the earth. We also got to shop at Koji's private toy shop. Which was just filled beyond the brim with the kind of treats he would normally bring to DCON. And... Naoya has his first toys coming out in quite a while very soon. I'm not sure if he has a separate or new company name for them.
It's kind of an awkward question for me to ask, but I thought Koji's name was Gol. It's Koji? I heard someone call him Gol san like over 5 years ago and it just stuck with me. When we talk about a Koji painted Gargamel, I always assumed (mistakenly?) that it was Koji Harmon for some reason. I thought Koji/Gol was just acting as a manager for Gargamel, and that he wasn't related to the family, nor involved in painting/sculpting operations. The only Ikeda family members actually involved in sofubi are just Naoya and Kiyoka?
