I'm officially 'OLD' . . . In contrast, all these hype-driven apps pushing the same fake excitement to move the merch bore the f*ck out of me!

I struggle to see any attraction in these 'virtual events' with little to compare with real world experiences. Personally I'd prefer to save the $$$ to do something actually memorable!

The Sick Boy sold out in less than 10 seconds. You could’ve put a stopwatch next to my phone with how fast I hit buy and checkout, just to see it say I wasn’t fast enough. Totally nuts.

Don’t get me wrong, I love going to conventions and gallery events but sometimes I don’t want to spend money on airfare, hotels, food for the weekend, etc. Sometimes I just wanna buy some toys.

I thought it was a weird event. Stuff was going up at random times, and Ghost busters was playing in the background. I didn't understand what was so different than buying online.

If the guys making the toys were on and talking about them or something that would have been neat, but it felt like a waste of time to just hang out waiting for stuff to be available. I dipped as soon as the dinos sold out, but if there was an actual host or people talking about nthe stuff I would have stuck around and watched.

I tried for a couple things and as others pointed out they disappeared in a instant. I'd prefer a lottery versus these pop ups...such a waste of time.

I scored two out of the four things I was trying for, you definitely had to be quick on the draw but you also have to be quick on the draw for shop drops. I don’t know what y’all were doing wrong..

And that movie was awesome. It was a chopped and screwed version of Ghostbusters with super weird commercials in between. The commercials are usually when things dropped.

Yeah, and you know the “hottest” toys will always be saved for last so you have to stick around until the end. Unfortunately those who win will always be the ones who are quick to react and with the fastest internet connection, the latter of which matters most. It was easier in its early days when there was less competition (i.e. viewers), but now it’s become pretty tough to score anything, at least for me. At this rate I feel more confident entering any given lottery. At least then I don’t have to sacrifice two hours of my time (it’s not something you can do passively, you really have to be at the ready the entire time and in deep focus to have a real chance).

Oh, no sour grapes here. Cheers to anyone who scored, but those who think they’re more deserving or simply tried harder than anyone else are delusional.

I should clarify… I think the shows Creature Bazaar puts on are great and I know a lot of effort goes into curating them. They’re definitely making good use of the platform and doing so in a fun, creative way relative to other vendors. That said I understand the frustration some might have when they can’t manage to keep their fingers locked in position on their phone or tablet two whole hours for one reason or another (or simply don’t care to with little guarantee of a return). Again, shopping on PSL has definitely gotten more competitive since it’s inception, so it’s best to go in with low expectations. If you’ve got nothing better to do come airtime there’s nothing to lose. Just grab a snack or beverage and enjoy the show, and maybe you’ll score a cool toy as a bonus.

No sour grapes indeed. Creature Bazaar has well intentions but I don't understand the methods or lotto that they do. It's more stressful then standing in a line.

I struck out twice due to having to re-enter all my information, LOL. I did find it weird that I didn't see any notifications of the Sick Boy being purchased compared to all the other figures being sold. Also, with them rearranging every item then posting new items was a little weird to me. Kudos to @noeleaser for hitting on the Sick Boy.

All my info was pre-loaded - I have purchased using PSL a couple times before so that might be why? But yeah, it’s very stressful having to devote that much time and concentration to the app only to have the hyped releases sell out in less than 5-10 seconds. I did luck out and end up with 3 wins including shirahama dino, sick boy, and ogon REE. It looked like there were 1-2 each of the older Headlock that showed up at the very end so almost no chance with those. Still cheaper than flying out and likely deters bots and I can always enter Headlock’s own lottos thankfully. And it looked like CB had a good number of sick boys based off notifications, possibly 40+ if I remember right.

Did not mind the format at all as I was deep cleaning my toilet and litter box anyways. Was extra sweet to snag the dino with one hand while the other was furiously scrubbing out my cats' very stubborn pee clumps.

Damn, that’s crazy. All my info was preloaded and still didn’t work. Even asked me to do a face recognition. The fact that you even saw the sick boy notifications proves that I should have been home doing this than being out. Hahaha. Congrats on the purchases!!!

I wasn't able to score one but the fact they were in the middle of the show was very nice to see.
Half the fun of those events for me now is just going with the bit of "they're sold out, better luck next time" when people start to get real weird and complain real time when the drop is happening. Its gotten a lot better in the last 2 events, but the hype will always be there so all we can do is click the button, hope and laugh along the way.

Anyone own a shingami man? I think the purple release is fantastic.

Were the older Headlock figures by the same crew?

That, they were. The Stik Twins, Cherry and Mash, were a collaboration release between Headlock, Pep’s Picture Works and 44m. I’m almost positive the pair were sculpted by Knuckle, but the concept and design was Pep and 44m. I have the purple and pink pair, as well as the giant ass movie poster that came with ‘em.
