Agreed, but I can understand if the last thing someone wants to do is bounce between two or more IG accounts, one solely made for lottery entries and toy hobbies. You're definitely right regarding what you get served / what posts you see if you can taper it down to a singular hobby or curated feed.

You’re right in a lot of regards to Instagram in regards to makers (of anything really)- it’s advertisement for your product/passion/art/call it what you will. And fans posting collection shots are free commercials for your stuff (free in that it doesn’t cost your the time or effort of actually posting) And if your stuff gets posted by someone with a lot of followers- that’s like a free ad during the Super Bowl.

Skullbrain was/is always Seemed more like a club or community. If you knew you knew. And it was a club about our obscure weird toy collections. But it’s not so obscure anymore… and there’s money to be had, and social media (which is not what I consider skullbrain) broadcasted it to the masses so our club is getting outpaced.

Now, this next part I say fully realizing I am not a maker and I don’t know the logistics to do something like this, but: If you are a toy maker, and you want to breathe a little life into this place- maybe have a skullbrain.org release from time to time? Only advertised here, limited to members only? Show those Instagram glory hogs that this shit can still be underground and mysterious.
    Just a thought.

Skullbrain is definitely more like a club because it's difficult to get in. Nearly every time I suggest to someone that they participate here, they tell me that they registered months ago and never had their account approved. Then it's a process of me getting their info to the administrators and they get approved.

Regarding the four IG accounts per person, do you mean that you can register four IG accounts to a single email address?

SB is the only place I share my toy photos, if I put em on IG my mates take the piss out of my 'Pokemans'....

So looking into it, IG let’s you have 5 accounts per email apparently. Mine predate that, but I just made a couple random Gmail accounts when I setup mine. Then within the interface of ig you just tap your avatar/icon and it brings up a list of the different account and switching is just a matter of hitting the account you want to swap to.

Me too Philbo Baggins! All those photos I shared the other day were Skullbrain exclusives (minus 1). Going to try to keep that up.

Thanks for the Instagram tip, First I tried unsuccessfully with the web interface to make changes (apparently they restrict that) but I had success doing it in the app. I now have both of my accounts associated with my email address: my regular rogzilla71 one, and the one I use to show off my ape NFTs.

He drops it so casually, I can't even tell if this is genuine, or one of the best jokes I have seen on SB.

Interesting to see that, I appreciate the post from HLS.

Sidebar - that was an incredible short entry window.
