Hey there....longtime creeper longtime caller. The wife is taking me to Downtown LA (staying at the Freehand which seems pretty central) and I was wondering if anybody had any recommendations for where to check out. I'm obviously a big fan of Japanese Vinyl, but I'd also love to check out hobby shops, vintage stuff, thrifty/junk toys, and plenty of stuff in-between. If anybody's got the tip on whatever the next Span of Sunset-style shop may be down there, I'd be forever grateful. Thanks a bunch, SB.
Little Tokyo has quite a few good shops. There’s a shop across from the gundam/ sofubi store that I scored the little Frankie gashapon from.
anime jungle (they are on instagram too) q-pop shop is right across the hall too! maybe hit up toy art gallery see if you can pop in and check out the showroom!
Wow thanks you guys....I'll definitely check those out and report back on any scores or fun stuff. Thanks!
i got a text a couple hours ago about a new shop opening this winter in little tokyo focusing on on designer toys as well as vintage. TAG was my go-to but since then no ones stepped up just a lot of funko pops
Man, California gets all the fun stuff. Everywhere else that you see: ‘designer toy and vintage’, it’s d*nnys and old funko crap. Maybe a GI Joe
