Was just about to bring it here myself. One cool thing about not being able to sleep, is, sometimes you’re awake to see awesome shit drop. Lilac and navy Skull Kun. Edit: @C E posted this on the previous page and I completely missed it! My apologies!!!
Unfortunately, my friend in Sendai will be out of town on the day of the drop. So I’ll be missin’ out on this one myself!
Nice to see them releasing toys again, but watching from overseas is super annoying! Really wish they would bring back the itnl shipping, otherwise I am high and dry.
I can’t remember a time where they had international shipping on their toys. I don’t think they ever have! I’m kinda 50/50 on this one, honestly. I don’t dislike it, but I’m not sure if I like it enough to want it.
They used to have a site for international orders - http://bounty-hunter-intl.com With the odd exclusive release too: https://www.thetoychronicle.com/news/bounty-bxh-hunter-silver-demeru-kun/
@Anti Social Andy I have enough Skull Kuns that I can handle to miss out on a version I’m not in love with! I’d probably feel different if I was able to look over it in hand, but it does look pretty flashy for such a simple toy. Hope you come up, dude!
Finally broke down and bought a Sketch Monster on the secondary market. It is pretty awesome. Not enough variety between the current releases to warrant me having more than 1 right now IMO. But hoping to see a painted version or departure from black soon.
I never saw that site sell the toys, though, with the exception of that Demeru Kun. I checked for years! @JoeMan I definitely want to buckle down and get the black and green at some point, but I’m still very much holdin’ out for a painted version one day.
Span of Sunset used sell the occasional BxH toy, but they have ridden off into the sunset. I miss the US retailers that had connections to Japanese makers - not sure which side of the pond pulled the plug.
@Biff Easily had to have been before I got involved in collecting, as I have zero experience with anyone stateside offering any BxH at all. That would’ve been rad to be involved with, though. More than like, though, I’d have to assume BxH pulled the plug. It seems to have been the way for many Japanese makers/retailers no longer having their wares(clothing and toys) be offered through American channels.
SoS seemed to have a similar vibe to BxH. I thought they stocked BxH until the end and figured that they just went out of business.

Hmm. Possibly! I’d be surprised if Bounty Hunter did a re - release of a colorway so soon, even if it is a different finish. Being that’s the dude from Neighborhood he might just have a prototype or a limited pull from Hikaru and Taka? I think the matte finish is leaps and bounds better lookin’!
Ohhh, shiny!! Matte looks a bit too fancy to me. Iuno, shiny is always a nice, immediate, sofubi feel in my book I’ve missed so many releases. Need to stop checking this page, ha!
Looks like a solid grey in the reflection too. Still not picked one of these guys up. Too much real estate needed to buy up just any version, and all are playing second-fiddle to the original GID & Black version for me.
The Sketch Monster is without a doubt my favorite bxh toy, if I could only have 2 BxH toys it would be kid hunter and a sketch monster.
@Anti Social Andy You know, I had a moment with that in the background one, wondering if it’s grey or the purple just muted through a couple bags. But it certainly does look grey, doesn’t it?! It is goddamn huge lookin’, but I really still want to grab one. @JoeMan Considering the massive array of toy offerings from BxH over their tenure I’d say that’s a hell of a statement! The Sketch Monster definitely looks impressive, but I’ve yet to see one in hand. So I have no final judgement just yet. Still, still really hoping to see a painted version!
