I really love this artist. I have all three of their sculpts. They really look and feel like they were created by a child. That probably doesn't sound like a compliment but there is something really magical about a childs art. The header art also looks like it was done by a kid.

I love all the toys Zheng makes, love the squishy quality to them, the naïf sculpts and how much they stand out on my shelves. He is one of my favorite maker.
And this sculp and paint app definitely belongs here ... and I entered the lottery...

 

I love that sculpt too. So original and different, and I feel like it could interact with different toys in some really fun ways. I would've entered if it wasn't creature bazaar weekend. Also just waiting for a paint job that really grabs me. Also def fugly.

I enjoyed getting caught up on this thread after a long absence.
Seems like all the worst trends from a decade ago are still around. Questionable color palates are one thing, but all the horrible mashups, disfigured franchise "parodies", crude-but-hyperdetailed sculpts, Nazi and boring edge lord shit continues apace. Not only that but people now selling gaudy one-offs for over a grand.
Personally not a fan of Nag / MVH but I did not expect to see so many imitators. Years ago I dabbled in sculpting so I have a sense of how difficult it can be. But there's so much stuff that's come out since then that I never would've bothered casting. I know its difficult and expensive, but artists should hold themselves to higher standards, both in terms of ideas and sculpt quality, before producing things to sell.
Moog and others, you're doing a service documenting all this nonsense.

 

Honestly I like the head on this guy. Not a fan of the huge doll eye though.
