I am heading to Japan on business next month. Besides MD, does anyone know any toy stores tin Tokyo that sells vintage figures? Please post here or drop me a PM
I seem to recall there's this guy called Brian Flynn, who wrote a book titled Tokyo underground. Pretty sure it was an amazing guide to vintage shops.
Yes, I asked about it at Super 7 recently, I will order it on Amazon, however - its an older book from 2007, updated 2010 , lots of things change in 6 years. Anyone have a first hand recommendation for a good toy store in Tokyo that has Vintage Vinyls more recently or in the last few years? It would be real nice to hear from a couple of people to share Japan experiences. Tokyo Underground: Toy and Design Culture in TokyoHardcover – September 25, 2007, updated 2010
Thank You! Yes MD is a staple. That Cosmo Night Alpha store looks like toy heaven, its incredible, I just found a report on it - I have an old RxH Mutant Head from 2005 that has an a on its chest thats called "Cosmo Knight Alpha", it seems it might be connected somehow. https://softoyhobby.com/2014/02/12/man-e-report-cosmo-knight-alpha-store-visit/ Hey Skullbrainers, whats your experience? Any other suggestions would be most appreciated.
Godzilla ya, Home rice, Jyarinco, Cosmo night aipha and Third uncle are still around I believe. Nakano broadway and all the other Mandarakes should keep you busy.
Thank you! Kaijukorner hasn't updated its Tokyo Toy shops list in a while, its still a very good reference. I'm on the trail, thanks for all your recommendations.
