What a steal at ~$350! Yawn. It looks like a KR-unny platform toy with some sort of filigree pattern you'd see on a throw pillow. But maybe that's just me.
No it's not you, I'm not in love with this either, but I do like a lot of PPPuding releases, so I thought I'd post it for others that might like it. The did a couple other releases of this sculpt that were way better (black and brown).
A lot of the smaller PPPudding releases look like a nice mix between Western vinyl, Itokin Park, Kaijin, and Play Mobil toys. I like them, and they have a great aesthetic but I already collect too much to buy any of them. TAG has a bunch that gives a better idea of the style. The little kid with mushroom hats are my favorites. http://shop.toyartgallery.com/index/typ ... 20a&page=1
Japanese company. The toy is very cool; Ma.K design influences. He also makes a small spaceship that can be swapped with the head so that his small figures can pilot the robot. I thought this one was ok, but that price is crazy.
Once the little space ship is in is when I feel this toy comes to life. I like it a lot in that mode.
I recently picked up a P.P. Pudding UFO pictured at the bottom and really like it! I don't see a lot posted or discussed around here on the maker (I apologize if so, I did search before hand!). I also can't find a lot of info on them, so it'd be nice to hear from folks around here. I really like the nostalgic play mobil style they hold, being similar to Itokin and suguts stuff as mentioned, but still very much their own style. [Photos from P.P. They have a lot of thought put into their design, particularly the ships and robots. For example, the UFO can replace the large robot's head, so that it can be piloted by one of the small figures. The new smaller robots can interact with the rocket ship. I don't have a bunch, but they are well-designed.
The larger robots have been on my list to pick up for some time but never acted on. The various Devilman and Ultraman homages are fun and clean looking.
Yes! I actually really enjoy them. Check out what they're doing for the upcoming Konatsu show at QPop Shop! The robot fits perfectly on Negora as armor.. Spoiler View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram I love their design and quality. You can tell theres a lot of thought that goes into them. The little robots with horns are excellent, I thought the particular paint apps with little tiger loin cloths were perfect!
i have a few and donated some to the sb fundraiser as well. i like these star wars inspired ones, fun (not my pictures)
Oh my goodness, those are too cute! I love the nonchalant stormtrooper robo, and that Vader, so good.. Hell all of them are great really, even that wonky Chewbacca haha. Thank you for sharing!!
Just got these in the mail and figured id post them. Some brand new sets from earlier in the month from P.P.PUDDING Pivot Mech and Pilot You can open the cockpit of the mech to for the female soldier to pilot. And i got this Zeema robot as well
I've seen A few toys from this designer that I think are super cute. Not convinced myself to buy one yet but I have definite admiration for the aesthetic. Would've probably jumped all over some of these 15+ years ago
the pivot design is definitely a huge step up from previous robot ones. Really impressive to do something like that on a sofubi toy
^^ Love that desert colour too My first PPPudding, from the Taiwan Toy Festival The bot isn't articulated at the waist but the arms move at the shoulder, the weapons swivel at the elbow and blade rotates 360. Hood down Spoiler: More pics
Gee, these are nicer than I thought they'd be when I heard people describing them as being like Playmobil toys.
PPPudding are very highly thought out, creative sofubi toys. Just very hard to track down outside of Japan. I look forward to seeing some fun paint apps on these Pivots
