^ I love the spray works but the green line/ mouth is weird. Good weird or bad weird, I don't know yet
I'm not really sure what I think of that one... the sprays are impressively done for a production figure, but I'm not really feeling them on the Argus. I haven't really known what I think of any of the painted Arguses I've seen so far after getting the 1/6 one, which is just so perfect and vintagey.
Not into this first Argus... LOVED the version that was released in Japan (I think it was of a yellow and green one?)
I think the green just looks weird in that photo. It's definitely not as pronounced when you have it in hand.
very impressive colorway imho - really cool. matt thick red paint dots in contrast to metallic free sprays giving it a great tension. but not a big fan of standard size argus, eyes looking too symmetric, to rigid for my taste and same size of both hands and eyes is kind of irritating as well. proportions of mini argus so much nicer.
OH ... MY ... LORD! Check out #2!!!! Holy crap, that is fantastic. http://rotofugi.com/gallery/exhibits/beautykaiju2011/
those mini drazoran were insane! when you got up close, it looks like she had papier-mâchéd them, and then done the work in what i can only imagine is a hairline drafting pen. so damn cool.
Beautiful...but crossing a bit too far into the "art" side of things for me. I'd be afraid to play with the fucking thing...price notwithstanding...
I was told this was a Dream Rocket and Max Toy collab. The base is clear vinyl w/ orange paint poured inside. No idea when or how it was released, but probably around the same time as the hot pink Balbagon that was exclusive to Ningyoushi.
Revealed on Mark's Twitter, the next standard size figure from Max Toy (sculpted by Nakayoshi). I'm sensing a fire and ice theme...
Definitely looks like a Nakayoshi sculpt. Whatever happened to their website? I have a broken link on KC.
Yeah, he updated it so frequently, I'm shocked. A lot of Infoseek JP pages shut down recently. I think his website was among those.
Yea, I had to purge quite a few pages the other day from KC. Thanks for the info. Thought he might have moved to another URL.
grey vinyl works perfect to bring out beauty of sculpt. orange goes very well with it too. nice and classic. paintjob on this mini drazoran looking not less impressive to me. loads of great stuff from maxtoy as of late! seen here: http://kaijuchronicle.blogspot.com/2011 ... -mini.html
