Oi, skullbrains! I thought I 'd share this here as well as I'm super hyped to have been invited to contribute illustrations to Volume 13 of Color Ink Book. The best? It's an all horror edition featuring awesome gruesome black and white art by Craig Horky, Donta Santistevan, Gunnar, Gus Fink, Hal Rotter, Jon Wayshak, Jonathan Bergeron aka Johnny Crap, Sean Andress, Sean “GORE-illa” Regalado, me (yay) and Skinner! There is plenty of blood, gore and zombies, of course. I contemplated something different though. Recently I have been infatuated by old medical illustrations and journals – books such as Ernst Haeckel’s “Kunstformen der Natur” or “Human Monstrosities” by Hirst and Barton Cooke. These inspirations fell on fertile ground as I was rethinking my earlier ideas of the “Netzwerk” universe. In my mind all these freaks of nature are a result of fungal infections combined with a kind of digital corruption that affects all living and synthetical matter. This fungus feeds on available information in its surroundings and recombines it with the existing material… here are three of my illustrations. Oh yeah, make sure to get yourself copy soon as these are limited and 100+ pages for $10 is really a great price for such a publication > http://colorinkbook.bigcartel.com/produ ... e-thirteen
Thanks man. Glad you dig it. I can hardly await the arrival of my copy. Although I'm too much a b/w fan to put any color in that book. Hahaha!
