Just started Breath of the Wild, and I'm blown away. Maybe its because it has been years since I've played a zelda game but I'm really impressed. I'm only a couple hours in.
Yes. I've played pretty much all the previous Zelda and I admit to being a fan but this has gone beyond all expectations. Since I first saw Space Invaders I think in 1978 (when I was 7) I don't think I've ever played anything as good as this. Too many reasons to go through but this truly is an exceptional example of why Nintendo rules.
OMFG! I know I'm late to this party (I've had a lot to deal with in the last 6 months) but my all time favorite video game (one which I literally played probably 4-6 hrs a day for almost 2 years straight) was Red Dead Redemption. I've been quietly fading from video games for awhile now (I still have a PS3 which I play once or twice a month) but when Red Dead Redemption 2 comes out- no doubt I will be getting a PS4 (even though we now have to pay to go online when it was free with the PS3)!!! So so looking forward to losing myself in RDR 2. Maybe get the old gang back together? I ran with some insane crazy players years ago! The graphics alone light years ahead and in 2010 RDR looked so good.

Ha Scott, sounds like we have the makings of a posse already! I have been holding back jumping on the PS4 train specifically waiting for Red Dead Redemption 2. So probably sometime btw August and October 2017? Seriously we might have crossed paths, I was (am) Lixx68.
I find myself playing Overwatch a lot lately. Especially as Bastion most of the time as a main to advance in ranked. Whats everyone else playing as?
After a month long backorder from Amazon, I finally got a copy of Nioh for PS4. It's Dark Souls developed by the Ninja Gaiden team. If you dig either of those you'll love this game.
I don't have a lot of time to play so the newer systems aren't worthwhile for me, but emulators let you save anywhere, so retro games are perfect. I converted an Amazon Fire Stick into a retro gaming system so I can play on my TV (you can sideload Android apps onto Fire Sticks, so you just have to figure out which emulators work). So lately I've been playing Ocarina of Time for N64 and Shadowrun for Sega Genesis. Both are just as fun as I remember. Takes a lot of the frustration out of not being able to play the new Zelda.
Horizon Zero Dawn. Nate and I have different play styles. He's more direct and better at battles and action oriented situations. I prefer to explore and stealth kill everything and set traps if possible.
I've been playing Horizon Zero Dawn and it's such an awesome game! I'm really enjoying unraveling the story-line and it's just refreshing to play a game that is willing to take some risks. Plus the environments are stunning, it is simply a pleasure to look at this game. My girlfriend watches me play and is constantly reminding me to set traps and be more stealthy. She fancies herself my "strategist", and she's definitely saved my ass many times If you have a PS4, you've gotta try Horizon Zero Dawn!
A little late on this, but I too have been playing Breath of The Wild. It's pretty much without fault. Coming from someone who used to be heavily into games: I've really become frustrated with modern design trends: all it took was Nintendo to show me (and the amateur developers) how it should be done. Also, still struggling through Street Fighter 5's online because I love it when I get the chance to play with friends offline. Actually going to start getting involved in tournaments and sessions here in Wales soon because this game needs an offline community to survive unless they fix the host of issues plaguing it as an online game.
Easily 1 of the best games to come out in a long time. Both the game design and the art style are incredible, as is the storytelling. It's very refreshing to see something like this.
I enjoyed Titanfall 1 a lot even if it was missing a campaign or at least a story. TF2 seems to have improved on that. Still playing Halo 5. I don't have much time for games anymore (), so it's easy to log-in and knock a few rounds out here and there.
I started playing Earth Defense Force with a friend of mine. I feel like everyone on here would enjoy that game, plus its a Japanese game so it fits right in. Fighting giant insects and aliens, watching cities crumble while huge mechs walk through.
Reached 100000G on Xbox today. Will go on to Persona 5 now, I've been waiting for it since I saw the game in Japan 6 months ago haha
Ragnarok Journey came out, which is like an auto-play simplified browser version of Ragnarok Online... so I've been playing that AND Ragnarok Clicker AND Warframe all at the same time.

downloaded Ryse: Son of Rome the other day, as it is currently free on Gold. Really fun campaign. You can definitely tell that it was created to show off the XBone's hardware. Also still playing Battlefield 1. The expansion and what not have continued to make this game fresh and fun. Pretty sure I've been playing it every week since August when I joined the beta.
I'm slowly trying to pick up Xrd, thought I would hold off until Rev 2. I mostly play SFV and recently picked up KOF14 too which I've been spending more time in. I need to take a break from SFV... maining Alex can be unhealthy haha
If any of you have a Switch, what has been your "Go to" game thus far? Haven't played a Zelda game since Majora's Mask so BOTW doesn't really mean anything to me, and Bomberman is a total rip off price-wise. I did however manage to grab the 4 pack bundle off Gamestop which comes with Zelda, Snipperclips, Has Been heroes and one other I'm forgetting....
