A few weeks ago I was cleaning my fish tank and accidentally pinned my fishy between the net and the side of the tank. After that, he could not swim upright and stopped eating, so I gave him a hero's funeral this weekend, and then replaced him. This is the new guy. Poll results are non-binding.

@Nate I picked up this 3 gallon cube from Amazon. I ditched the filter that came with it, it was too noisy. So I got the filter listed below and also a heater. The heater doesn't get the water quite up to 80 degrees, so I'm thinking of getting a new one. Have the same tank and heater and changed out the filter, too. Also got a suction cup leaf hammocky thing for his tank and dude chills there for *hours* at a time. "I think Ginny Mambo's dead," is a familiar refrain in the house. Spoiler: not dead, just supremely lazy.
@lavavoom my old fish enjoyed perching on the moss ball and in between the plan stems. He also liked hiding in the cave and would peek out. Very cute. Fingers crossed the new guy figures out the cave.
That is a nice tank. I was specifically looking for one that is cat proof. I've seen this model before. I want to have fish again!
Pickles my beast cat is especially curious. I don't want to stress out the fish either when four pairs of feline eyes are staring at it. XD
