These guys are going to be wasting materials, causing factory delays (chances chinese factories so no big deal), taking table spots at events, and in general tarnishing the sofubi scene with this disgusting shit. It's pretty depressing.. sure there's heaps of good stuff being made and to pay attention to, but fuck seeing this stuff being associated with 'sofubi'.

I think its just a boom and bust thing, maybe we're at the peak of the boom right now. At some point the bubble will burst.

There do seem to be a large number of new makers quickly joining the scene, and a lot of them are very derivative of certain established artists. I can't see it lasting, but who knows.

As an aside, and I am sure it has been discussed on this thread but whilst looking at YJA last night, I stumbled across a pig thing, with Hitler’s head and a myriad of scars and red welts. Whether the maker was trying to put forward a meaningful point, or not, it was a horrid thing (on many levels) in my eyes. If I could have been asked, I’d have stuck that abomination on this thread too.
